In the novel tho, Zhao You sends TTJ to the old woman to learn about compassion, because NovelTTJ is really a psychopath(? is that the right term?) / emotionless being.

In the drama, Zhao You seems to send TTJ to the woman as an entrance test for XiaoYao sect. I'm not saying I don't like this version, but both works in their respective contexts. If anything, it's thanks to the writers' skill that this extra chapter is integrated into the larger story.

We're definitely in the immortal arc now. It's like, the beginning is the end, but the end is also the beginning...... or something. 😅🤣 anyway.... what are we seeing here? Immortal sects doing their immortal things, demons doing their demony things, TTJ enjoying the Nether River soooooo much he dives into it, while LSS rises from the Heaven Lake.

Much as my heart breaks for him to have lost the only one he loved, it also breaks my heart to see YQY be torn into wanting to keep YBC alive coz she's the only one of his family left, and realizing she does deserve death for the evil she had done. That look he gave TTJ when he told YBC to have as much porridge as she wants.... 🥺

The zombification of the people in this episode kinda hits home now especially with what's going on in the real world.
You know how we are fighting against misinformation in socmed, and how we could turn against each other with just a turn of phrase or a shared post. Are we like General Ye and YZY and the Jing soldiers fighting to defend the truth, or are we like TTML, spreading fake news and turning others against one another? Just something to think about.

TTJ and LSS are whisked to Kansas-- I mean, into the lightning tribulation to fulfill their destinies.

Again, this episode is full of quotable and memorable quotes that showcase the brilliant writing and acting.

Of all those deaths, Bitchang isn't on the list. 🙃 yet.

Common people are always the ones suffering from being caught in the middle of warring noblemen. True in a fantasy world, true then, and STILL true now. ☹️

TTML sacrificing a portion of his troops as distraction is such a villainous move.

TTJ facing TTML's trap himself is such a heroic, but honestly, idiotic, move. (Why can't he think big picture and pick up that it's a trap???)

PR facing TTML and Fuyu's army alone is such a badass move. But YQY following right after and supporting his girl is such a romantic move.

PR and YQY sacrificing their lives for the other's (with YQY ultimately surviving) is such a tragic move. 😭😭😭😭

Question: Is TTJ actually suffering from what LSS was doing with the World Alluring Jade?

At the previous watches, I just chalked the montage of TTJ throwing up blood to the spikes, but now I had that thought of what if, because of the bracelets, he is also affected by the backlash of the WOJ, on top of the pain of the spikes in his heart?

TTJ making an exchange with his lifespan for hers, not knowing that she already beat him to it with the World Alluring Jade. 🙃 Their fates are soooooo twisted in each other's.

Jize😭😭😭explains that very fate they have, that even if TTJ loves her, and she him, the world would still suffer if he becomes the DG. Makes sense, really, given what happened later on.

Like a Math teacher🤣 (I related much with this🤣), Jize explained that there is another answer to the problem of ending the DG. The three artifacts also point out to the other ending that MY and SJ attempted, aside from just simply unaliving(🙃) the DG.
