I love a good antihero and this FL truly does not give a fuck. đ Even funnier is how no one in her office has a single clue how to do their job. They stay fucking up. This is definitely something different from the same old formulaic crap Korea keeps churning out, but you won't enjoy this one if you're an oppa soldier. I personally enjoyed it.
I don't mind imperfect characters but there's no reason in the WORLD this needed to be 20 episodes. The first half was entertaining but I stopped caring around episode 16 when the story became silly and repetitive. You can also skip about 90% of the flashbacks in the first two episodes and will have missed almost nothing. Kdrama writers really need to learn when enough is enough as far as pacing is concerned.
Canât believe a woman wrote this. If your plan to address Koreaâs declining birth rate is to try to manipulate Korean women through the entertainment media, youâre gonna have to write something a whole lot better than this. Try again next time. đ
It's wild how these older kdramas normalized these men throwing women all over the room like rag dolls while calling them everything but a child of god. đ If you can look past that it was pretty good. Jung Kyung Ho is literally excellent, I'm so glad I found him in Crash Course in Romance. His comedic timing is the best Iâve ever seen, heâs a great actor. Yoon Hyun Min was also great and really brings his character alive.
I agree with the person who said the poster displayed doesnât match the show at all. It makes it look like this is a lighthearted, fluffy show but itâs not. This is a dark show with dark comedy. Really good tho!
The plot kind of fell apart at the end but I still enjoyed the romance with the two older leads. The high school kids' arc was also very well done (especially the two boys), but it's the older couple that really won my heart. Any other recommendations for good dramas with older leads?

The fact that you think a show's genre is what dictates whether or not it deserves a 10 tells me everything I need to know. A romcom is just as capable of being well-written as a slow burn/slice of life, and both are equally as capable of being badly written too. Sorry to break it to you, but your psuedo-intellectualism is not going to make this drama any better than a 7/10.

Keep stalking my list to defend this badly written drama. Not weird at all. If you stalk it some more youâll see that I like all genres, including rom-coms, if the writing is good. Good writers understand story structure and has characterization with believable goals, motivations, and conflicts, which is more than I can say for this drama. I see youâre the type of viewer who thinks a show has to move at a glacial pace and slap a ridiculous a pink filter over everything to be âdeepâ and âperfectâ. But it takes a lot more than that to tell a good story from start to finish, maybe youâll learn that one day.

I donât need to be reminded of what happened in this drama. I already know what happened because I watched it and gave it a 7/10 for subpar writing. I canât take anyone seriously who would call this âperfectâ. đ

I understand the characters just fine. This show is not that deep. Itâs also not that good. Like I said, 7/10 for subpar storytelling, and thatâs me being generous.

She was also worried about hurting the ML. Either way, the conflict was not strong enough to justify all the drama, which is why her familyâs reaction also felt over the top when they learned the truth and her sister became unbearable to watch because of it. It all felt very artificial. The writer shouldâve done a better job developing this conflict or raising the stakes if she was going to drag it out for 16 episodes. I was rolling my eyes HARD by the end of it, which is a shame because I had enjoyed it up until then.
Lost interest at the end because the "big secret" was dragged out for way too long and it wasn't even serious enough to justify all that drama. It honestly wasn't that big of a deal, so this is bad writing in my book. We all knew the ML would forgive her in two seconds, so the stakes felt low. They dragged it so much that it got extremely annoying and I couldn't even fully appreciate their beautiful love scene because of all the dumb lies that were still unresolved. Of course, her telling him the truth would've ended the story which is exactly what should've happened. Should've ended at 12 episodes instead of 16. 16 was totally unnecessary and dampened what could've been a great show. 7/10.
Is it me or does anyone feel like that today's audience is more critical of nudity or sex scenes than decade earlier…
Yes, and from what I can tell, it's mostly non-Asians who just discovered kdramas a few years ago that love to swarm in and project this weird purity/morality onto the entire Asian race, even though Asians have been making movies with sex and nudity since the beginning of time.
