I knew as soon as the ML said he was gonna throw the kids in the sea to feed the fish that this drama was going to have me in a choklehold. 😂 I've never been a fan of these mini dramas but this was hilarious and actually pretty good. Smoking hot, chemistry was 10/10. You can feel the love in his eyes when he looks at her, this ML deserves to star in a full-length drama.

If you are a new Cdrama fan trying to find good Cdramas to watch like I was (that are not corny, childish, or just plain bad) watch this one first. It is a mature, passionate, complicated, beautiful love story.

Oh thank you so much! I just finished About Beauty and I LOVE Liu Yuning's whole aesthetic so I'm excited he has a steamy historical! I will start it tonight! I have already seen that youtube short and loved it lol.

He needs to be held accountable in a real way or I will consider this drama a fail. I have enjoyed the writing up until now so I have faith they will get it right!

So this drama has made me give cdramas a real chance and I have been looking for other cdramas to watch and I am STRUGGLING. Can someone please recommend some cdramas similar to this, with mature characters, steamy scenes, and not cheesy?

I can guarantee his girlfriend can match his passionate energy a million times more than Sun Qian has in 16 episodes so not sure why people would want this.

The bar is in literal hell. I'm actually looking forward to the breakup scenes because this man needs to suffer and be brought back down to earth.

I rolled my eyes pretty hard during the episode where she insisted on sleeping in the guest room after she'd already had sex with him. This man has literally seen you naked, like please come off it. It gets to a point. 😂

Honestly this is my first cdrama and it's dissapointing because the build-up and tension are A+ but as soon as it gets to the point of actual kissing/intimacy she holds back a ton. It's like letting all the air out of a balloon that was about to explode. I wish they would've cast someone who could match his energy.
