JCY is incompetent. He doesn’t have insight enough to look after the people close to Lu Yan, like her mother??! He just continues to underestimate WP and fails to grasp the situation thoroughly.

Wait, so the female culprit can beat up and elude four cops,but Professor Yu who is an ex-cop can’t defend herself in an attack by one culprit?

I was thoroughly moved too. The actor nailed it! I will be following all his dramas from now on because he’s good. That scene where he was pounding the pavement with his fists in grief—OOMMGGG. Excellent acting. I felt so bad for him, not excusing his murderous path of course, but I do sympathize with him. Oddly, I have more sympathy for him, a murderer, than his mother who abandoned him in the first place. I wish he could’ve overcome his pain and resentment in the proper way. His story is the most compelling out of this whole drama.

The plot is nonsensical. I was amused at first by cops not being able to take down a petite woman. But, the preposterousness of a mom leaving her child with an abuser is just too much. What mother is going to do that? Also, she’s married to a cop. How could she not ask him for help to get her son back? How in the world could he not do a bit of investigating and discover her son’s whereabouts? This is ridiculous. Everyone keeps telling the mother it’s not her fault and her husband was even cracking jokes to lighten the mood. It is her fault! She didn’t do enough for her son. She got herself out of a bad situation, but left her son in it and happily deluded herself that he was doing fine without digging any further to verify. I’m annoyed with this development. I was hoping to understand the mother, but I have no sympathy for her.

He didn’t seem as into her after they got together. That’s how it kinda feels to me. She’s pursuing him more. They’re a confusing couple to me.

I’m baffled by this Bofeng story line. This chance connection between Bofeng and JCY is wild. Or, was their crossing paths somehow forced by WP? Surely he couldn’t manipulate things to that extent, right?

When Lu Yan was going off at the coach and JCY told her to “Calm down,” that got on my nerves. She was doing just fine. She didn’t need to calm down.

I’m guessing that the mom is ML’s stepmother. It would make zero sense that she’s his biological mom as both ML and SML are the same age.

They were in different colleges, even though at the same university. It’s not likely their paths would have crossed much, especially the parents. But maybe, in fact, WP did somehow go searching for his mother and discovered the truth of his stepbrother long ago.

Not too sure Professor’s Yu strategy of directly confronting WP was smart. I hope she doesn’t end up dead next.

She kept harassing the coach. He’s no saint for giving in, but she started it. He told her to go away, yet she persisted. She’s the one who pursued a married man. And that pathetic way of hers that ends up getting bullied—I’m out of sympathy for her.

She’s the only one with a brain to solve this case.

Maybe all info about her past, especially her previous marriage, was kept from JCY. He probably doesn’t even know she has another child.
