What’s “dlc”?

The snow scene was in China, Xiao Han’s hometown. They went there after the wedding. He had taken her there once before too when they first started dating.

Is that what happened? I thought when He Ran and Xiao Han were on the snowy mountain, she asked if he’d wait for her (which didn’t make sense to ask because they had just gotten married). He said he would of course. Then it cut to an airport scene where she was explaining to Han Yu why she chose Xiao Han. I assumed from that she was getting ready to board a flight to America for treatment.

Why didn’t Xiao Han go to America with He Ran for treatment? That’s what I didn’t understand. He had said he wanted to take care of her and he was her husband. Why did only her mom accompany her?

Nahhh, not his imagination. The Director was clearly trying to please all camps with this seemingly ambiguous ending. But, it’s clear to me we got our happily ever after. There’s a commenter, TuRuah, I believe, below who explained it well. Also, glass half full, glass half full, glass half full…lol. That’s how I choose to believe. Too sad otherwise.

Did you watch past the credits? It seems clear to me.

Episode 17 is the sister-in-law. Episode 22/23 is troublesome college dorm mate.

She’s a force. That girl doesn’t play when it comes to other women going after her man. Remember how she handled Xiao Han’s “sister-in-law”!

Mad respect for the college dorm mate who had the crush on Xiao Han. She was certainly going for it and shooting her shot, wasn’t she! It was a fool’s errand, of course. But, man, I’d like to borrow even 1/10 of her confidence level. She should’ve quit, though, when it was clear He Ran and Xiao Han had a relationship and some unfinished business. You’ll get yourself hurt, girl. He Ran don’t play that.

Wow, you’re disciplined. Willpower! Studies show that people who are good at practicing delayed gratification (especially as kids) are the ones who generally end up being more successful in life down the line.

Han Yu’s being in the dark til even the 11th hour had me chuckling. When Yuanqi said to him regarding Xiao Han, “You’ve met, yet you don’t know who that is”—I was SMH laughing. Poor, sweet, innocent, oblivious, living-in-his-own-rose-colored-world, can’t-put-two-and-two-together doof.

It really was! Extremely well done.

If he loved her, wouldn’t he have gone looking her, worried something bad had happened? Wouldn’t he say, “I don’t understand what’s going on, but it must be serious for you to act this way. I love you and I’m here for you no matter what. I’ll give you some space if you need it, but talk to me as soon as possible. I’m worried about you.”
