It’s good, but it took a few episodes for me to really get into it. It takes a while for the romance to blossom. There’s lots of slice-of-life family interactions and classroom/friend scenes which drag out the story, but are delightful at the same time. Very wholesome family drama.

It’s a bit of a melodrama at times though with lots of extremes that are quite ridiculous albeit entertaining—e.g., FL’s attachment to ML, extreme parenting styles, the reverse-harem circle of friends.

IKR. Rewatched that part several times. So well done. Their acting, both, so good in that scene! 🥰

The way episode 9 made me smile 😊 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 . The friendships. The cute cheerleader outfits (the girls looked like little dolls). The way he couldn’t stop looking at her ☺️🔥🔥. Everything about this episode was top tier.

Both very good. Korean more entertaining though. The J-version ML is too reserved for my tastes.

I thought the exact same thing as you. But, the closeness of the childhood relationship is revealed more as the episodes progress.

Does Yingtao mean Cherry? I only know her by Cherry or Lin Qi Le.

Ep 7 was a waste of time. I don’t like filler episodes. And, not enough Zhang Linghe in it.

Those were biological moms. Some stepmoms were a doozy too—“The Double” and “Blossom.” Also, in “Go Ahead”, there were four different bad moms in that show—both male leads’ moms and both besties’ moms were awful. The FL mom in “Will Love In Spring” was bad.
