I just started this. The way the FL pesters the ML because she clearly has a crush is so annoying š. But, Iām still enjoying the drama so far. The visuals are pleasant.
Is this show worth watching? What should I expect before starting this one?
Donāt expect a heartfluttering romance. Expect a lot of frustration. Expect warm moments and angsty moments with friends and family as young people find their way in life and love.
Finished 3 episodes. Iām trying to give it a chance and itās ok, but boring. Does it get better?
Not really. Ep 9 was awesome. Ep 21-24 were decent kinda. Overall, nothing was really outstanding. There were a lot of good life lessons to learn from this drama though. It made you think a bit.

Under normal circumstances, I would say a woman should not do the chasing. In this case, however, the ML was broken inside. He needed a bit of help finding his way out of his seemingly hopeless situation.
But, he would have gotten there eventually on his own. The reality is, he was doing just fine. He was working hard (hard labor builds character and muscles), being a support to his cousin, playing card games with his neighbors, going to uni. He was fine. If a man is not communicating with you, itās because he doesnāt want to. Itās not your business to make him communicate.
But, I can understand that Cherry needed an answer NOW about her relationship with JQX. She couldnāt wait until Doomsday or who knows when. I understand her need to push the situation forward for her own mental wellbeing.
What exactly is the MLās job? I havenāt been able to stay focused well enough to grasp it. The guy that he saved from suicide what was that all about?
Definitely enjoyed this one! I have seen the Korean version prior to watching this, and I hate to compare. But…
The J-drama ML did the let-me-be-mean-for-her-own-good trope. He wasnāt romantic enough. He was a great protector, but it felt more like he was fulfilling a mission. Too reserved and serious. He became an action hero in the end functioning even after being knifed in the gut. It was so š š wild.
The story development is frustrating. Thatās why. The romance is unsatisfying. It comes together in the end though, after they exasperated the living daylights out of you the viewer for the first 20 episodes. Donāt expect any spice either. This is thoroughly PG. The family and friends slice-of-life moments are pleasant, just too drawn out. The drama dragged a lot in my opinion. Many good life lessons were taken from drama howeverālife lessons about how to love well and live well, how to parent, kids realizing they donāt know as much as they think and that maybe mom and dad were right. It was a good drama, but it could have been done better. The acting was top-notch šÆ. No issues with the acting, just the story development. So, I guess it was a directing and editing issue.
It was alright. If I had never seen the Korean version, I might have thought this J-drama was good, fresh, original. But having seen the K-version, I enjoyed the Korean one far more. The Korean version was funnier, more robust and detailed, more swoonworthy. The J-version romance was bland, sweet but bland.
The Youku app really did us dirty in the US. Why couldnāt they have released this drama for us too on the app?! Now, Iāve got to wait on slow-as-molasses Viki. š
