when do leads start to spend more time together and romance to?
Ep 30 forehead kiss; ep 32 & 36 steamy kiss. But, ep 9, he opens up to FL a bit, he starts to let down his guard. Ep 14/15, he steps up his flirting, but she is oblivious.

ML has an old-soul vibe. When he’s working for that company after college, he seemed like a 40-something yr old dude.

All I can think of when I see these leads are “Lighter and Princess” and “My Unicorn Girl.” I can’t buy their performances in this drama. ML as a friendly guy just isn’t believable. L&P left scars. FL isn’t appealing here. So flat. She was so perky and delightful in Unicorn Girl.

Now, even though I just did all that criticizing, the drama itself is still light and pleasant even though nothing interesting is really happening. Something gentle for the mind after so many mean-spirited revenge dramas.

Ik im late to the party but omg, fate was in xing chi’s way, the bus driving away was already a bad omen 😭…
I felt the chemistry coming from Xingchi, big time! 🔥He was giving more chemistry than the ML. (But, of course , Xingchi didn’t have his act together; so he was a non-consideration. Good-hearted guy though.) ML didn’t seem that into Fenghua to me. He cared for her deeply as his bestie and homie, but not like a man loves a woman. Or, was he attracted to her? I couldn’t tell. I just wasn’t seeing that. Obviously, he treated her extremely well, but I wish that I could’ve believed he had deeply fallen in love with her. I know he explained to her that he wasn’t a romantic man, but still, give me some honey 🍯 dripping from his eyes at least a bit. 😆😅A beautiful drama though.

Any recommendations for a show with a ML like Lu Jiaxue? Featuring a morally grey, villainous male lead who ends…
1. Love Trap (Cdrama)
2. Jealousy Incarnate (Kdrama)
3. Once We Get Married (CDrama)
4. You Are My Glory (CDrama)

6. Lighter and Princess (CDrama)

7.5btw> don;t like FL voice, sound ...whiny.
A unique voice was a pivotal part of the character. The drama didn’t emphasize this point, but the novel did. That voice was really the main way the 2ML could identify her. So, the voice really had to be extremely, extremely distinctive. I think the drama nailed it because that is definitely an unmistakable, unique-sounding voice.

The FL look is way more matured than the ML and not passable as a18 year old. The story was refreshing and interesting…
Bai Lu has always had a mature look, in my opinion. I didn’t see any issues in this drama however. The leads looked very well-matched. Zhang Ling He looked especially masculine and mature here, whereas usually he looks quite young and baby-faced. I couldn’t get over how handsome he was here. This drama is what made start to follow him.

But, back to Bai Lu’s mature look. When I first saw her in “Love Is Sweet,” I thought she was about 33/34. I nearly fell over when I learned she was about 25/26 back then. 😅Despite her mature look, she’s a dazzling beauty and one of my faves.

Same. Usually historical dramas with a lot of politics bore me to tears and are too hard to follow. But this one was amazing! Not a single boring or useless filler episode.

Xie Wei definitely had some red-flag issues. I understand Ning’er’s wanting to get away from him because of his issues. In real life, I would steer clear of a man like him too. But, in a drama, I’m glad his character healed and got a redemptive arc. He was simultaneously a red flag and a green flag.

When one of my two favorite Chinese actresses, Bai Lu, stars in a historical drama, you bet I’m going to watch…
I like your analysis. However, Zhang Zhe was too concerned with propriety for my tastes, always chastising Ning’er whenever she flirted with him. For this reason, I could never feel the chemistry between them. He kept sending mixed messages. It was only after Ning’er had completely moved on, that he seemed to be sure of his feelings and wanted a relationship. Xie Wei’s feelings for her ran deeper and longer.

Yes, looove Dylan’s whole vibe! Wang Xing Yue also gives happy, friendly vibes. Chen Zhe Yuan is very serious and reserved too, but he still gives warm vibes.

Hey, guys, I'm having a hard time watching it. I have a "Zhang Ling He" problem. I have seen him before in other…
Honestly, I kinda get it. He’s got a certain edge to him, like maybe he’s very sensitive or particular about things. He doesn’t seem easy or simple at all. Very reserved, yet he can be quite assertive, even defensive when “provoked.” (I base this on certain BTS clips I’ve watched of his interactions with other actors.) He has an engineering degree which means he’s very smart. Smart people are often complex, reserved, highly analytical people. That’s the vibe I get from him. Obviously, I don’t know this man for real, so clearly these are just my silly, unqualified 😜 speculations about his personality.

His acting, however, is outstanding. He was a calculating, mental red flag in “Story of Kunning Palace,” but he was a gentle, soothing, scholarly, green-flag doctor in “The Best Thing.” Both— very outstanding dramas.

im watching this because of park bo gum and i don't want to drop it, but the constant yelling is giving me a headache.…
Koreans yell. It’s part of their culture. (Some other cultures too, of course.) But, it’s hardly a Kdrama if there isn’t some yelling, well, a lot of yelling actually. 🙄😩📣🤣😂
