A Sheng is a crap person. I couldn't stand her before, and after episode 28, I couldn't care less what happens to her character. I wish Xin Mei would wake up and drop her like the bad habit she is. If anyone deserves to step on a LEGO in the middle of the night barefoot, it is A Sheng.
I am not expecting her to reciprocate any feelings for Jin Lun, but when someone helps you get rid of your evil father at risk of their own life and loses a limb, you can show the slightest bit of appreciation. She is cut from the same cloth as her father, and I hope Xin Mei realizes this sooner rather than later.
Tbh this isn't as good as people are hyping it to be here. After reading the comments i think most people are…
I am here for the mystery. Can't help that one of the male leads is also from idol dramas. While you may be enjoying another show more, it doesn't mean we can't enjoy this one too. I am here to see how the story unfolds, and I like that many seemingly irrelevant shots/pieces of information are actually quite relevant down the road. I think the storytelling element is interesting. It isn't perfect, but I'm certainly enjoying it.
Currently rom-com isn't romcoming that well for me in all honesty. This had perfect start for me personally but…
Yes! I am so frustrated that she openly flirts with the PM (and in front of IA) and has no boundaries. I'm not saying she has to stop talking to him or can't have him as a friend, but now that she is married (even a contract marriage), she should tone it down. I see how much it hurts IA, and she is like so oblivious to another person's feelings that she is surprised when IA asks her to at least address him differently. It has seriously soured my experience with the drama.
Wow...,7.3šš it is still high it should be less than 5 I don't know what is happening here, such iconic…
While I agree it should be higher, crime/mystery/thrillers generally have a lower score on MDL when they are, in fact, really well done. I would say the average score is around 7.3-7.5, when I would rate them all much higher. Their comments sections are also flooded with "Is there romance?" (when there is no "Romance" tag in the description). With this show, I think it has more to do with fan shenanigans than anything else. I always take these ratings with a grain of salt.
This drama is giving me major 2010s drama vibesālike going straight into romance. Itās cute, fluffy, and honestly…
I agree that it does have the feel of older dramas, which makes me happy. I think the actors are doing great. To be honest, I do find IU's character annoying, not her. She is killing it! I'm not quite sure what Yi An sees in her beyond a spoiled chaebol's daughter/CEO.
As NotYourOppa mentioned, the lack of protocol and disregard for Yi An does take me out a bit. I realize this is a drama, but if you are building a world where the monarchy still exists, you should continue with it. This is more so a problem with the writing than anything else. Not a huge issue, but it does grate a bit for me.
7.4?!? Seriously?I can hardly believe it. I joined MDL because I thought it was a space for open, coherent discussion…
Yeah, this rating seems off. This is a solidly good drama that deserves more than this. When you look at the episode ratings, they are much higher than this, so it must come from accounts rating the overall series.
I also haven't finished it (I do have WeTV VIP, but didn't opt to pay for the final episodes), but everything I am seeing is just so good that this low rating seems highly suspect to me.
After watching the previews for 23-24, I am over A Sheng's attitude towards Lu Qian Qiao. She is acting like she is five years old and putting space between them. She is one of those characters who needs their "savior's" full attention and ends up ruining their happiness.
Was it ever explained why the fls martial artswas superior to two seasoned generals? Did she started her training…
It's not so much that she was better than seasoned generals, but she used her martial arts in conjunction with her butchering skills to take them down. Since most people are not familiar with butchering, they were taken by surprise by her movements.
In a flashback, her father commented that she had rare martial arts skills, so that, in conjunction with the training her father gave her, helped her have an advantage over regular soldiers on the field.
In real life, battles are not always won because someone is better. It often is a combination of skills, determination, and luck (which she had).
In Ep 38, the ML hands FL a letter in court, and she's able to quickly read it??? This is quite a plothole smh.
This isn't a plot hole. She learned how to read after being in the capital. She was getting training in palace etiquette, so she would also need to be able to read.
Can I just say how much I loathe the Li clan (with the exception of Li Huai An)?!! I am disappointed that Li Huai An assisted that raving psycho, but at least he tried to warn his grandfather about how bad he would be as a ruler. My hope is that he will not just go with gramps and do something for the people, but if he can't, a part of me will understand the tough position he is in.
And not to mention the FL suddenly joining the war and even leading the MLās men with no proper military training.…
She was trained by her father, who was in the military. While she doesn't know all the military rules, she has martial arts training from her father. The rules can be picked up easily enough. And I second what indudewi mentioned... in times of political instability, earning positions through merit was fairly common.
I'm currently watching on iQiyi because they usually have better subs. I will watch again on WeTV (they have some…
I will definitely check out Netflix then. Yeah, there were a few times in How Dare You! where the lyrics did get in the way a bit. I haven't noticed that happening in POJ, though.
On the one hand, it is nice that they provide a translation of the song lyrics, but I just wish they could figure out a better way to display them. I think on Viki, they alternate between the top and bottom of the screen when they are at the same time (if I remember correctly), and that seems to work fairly well.
