I hate to break it to you, but it is only recent history that women are allowed to leave their husbands (in the US). This isn't some ancient practice... but something that has been going on for some time (and continues in some places). Also, domestic violence victims don't really have it any easier today than what was displayed here. I am glad that this drama is highlighting how tough women have always had it and continue to do so.

Because he did the same thing that Lin Jin Qi did, but some seem to over look this. By that I mean, he forced a marriage on her but because he is a scholar it is somehow okay. It wasn't okay for either of them to do that. I don't hate him, but I am also not blind to what he is capable of.

Yes, he has seen battles, but as a noble officer. His experience is much different from a common soldier, so her comments are still valid. He is a noble that has experienced some hardship, but still miles away from being a slave.

The indications were him "ghosting" the friend. That was not his character at all, so I knew something bad happened. His entire purpose in this story was to be a catalyst for the FL to get together with the ML (as sad as that makes me).

We don't always need multiple episodes for people to stop overthinking things and move to where they want to be. She has liked the ML for a bit, but was purposefully not going with it due to her issues with her parents' marriage and also the perception of a relationship at work. The death of her friend's boyfriend was the catalyst that put a stop to all of that. She wasn't going to waste any more time and move forward. Being the decisive person she is, she did that.

It's hard to form an opinion right now since we are not sure what role she is bringing it up in. I have no issue with her bringing it up as a fellow employee/witness, since I have an issue with the policy. I have worked in the service industry in a variety of roles, and these kinds of people can easily push all the wrong buttons. Could she have handled it better? Maybe. Nothing was going to calm this guy down except breaking policy and giving him what he wanted (which can be a vicious cycle in its own). Also, everyone has their breaking point, and the Purser reached hers. I guess I am viewing this from my own personal lens of having to take being harassed and even sexually harassed because the "customer is always right." Sometimes you need to support your staff over a customer's treatment. I am genuinely interested in how they will resolve this issue and what their take on it will be.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I really enjoy the show, but I am getting a bit tired of her nastiness towards the ML now. I'm not saying that since he apologized she should just fall into his arms, but she doesn't have to be the level she is with him.

This show sure does entertain! I'm really enjoying it so far. The rating is a bit low, but that is the norm now with MDL. I think the review process seriously needs some reforms.

Um... they dare to because they own the rights to the photo. She was an employee of the airline when the photo was taken for promotional purposes (it was shown on a magazine cover in like the first episode). Things like this are usually in employment contracts.

Parents, especially mothers, feel they are protecting their children by not letting them know. In this case, the servant was more than likely operating under her mother's direction.

Have both of your parent's died in quick succession to each other? Having one parent die is a lot to handle, let alone both (even if one is an absolute tool). I have lost both parents, and it is a lot to handle, let alone everything else she is having to deal with. Yes, she has changed, but it is hard to be a "badass" when dealing with all of that. So she is indeed being a bit naive in some respects, but she is also grieving. People grieve differently. I feel her reaction is real given the circumstances.

The mustache is simply for mourning his Mother-in-Law. As for the rest, I understand why he is doing it from his perspective. I'm not necessarily a fan of it, but I do understand him. The Yu's are putting extreme pressure and showing they will kill TY if necessary. He has little time to take them down, so he needs to act fast. I'm not saying he should do it quite the way he is going about it, but I can understand where he is coming from.

I think they have made it fairly clear that all the men in the Fu family are useless. The women are the ones with the brains.
