The contrast of the other failed relationships gave us a way to recognize how YY and YD's story was truly beautiful and worthy of watching it develop. Immortal Samsara may not be considered excellent for resolving some of its conflicts but it was the best in presenting the Romance genre.
Immortal Samsara admirably demonstrated the significance of 'balance' in relationships, through the presentation of each couple and character seen by us viewers. Although not everyone can notice these details you gave, they were still really good points that needs appreciation. Especially since it added to the enjoyment of seeing Ying Yuan and Yan Dan portraying "the best display of a healthy and mature relationship".
Millions of Kudos to you for describing these observations perfectly Anlly! I think you could add this on your review. 💕
Honestly, I actually didn't pay too much attention to Esther and Dylan being the male leads since I did not watch any of their series' and only heard about them. But then after watching Ep1-2 when they switched souls, I almost jumped at my seat seeing them both so good at portraying different personalities. I couldn't believe myself for not knowing about these two amazing actors. After finishing the short but truly amazing 36eps, I immediately became a devoted fan of them and lurked on twitter for any posts related to them. I'm also waiting for Esther's next drama, "A romance of a little forest". Now, I'm rewatching LBFAD together with my grandmother. When I told her about this drama and made her watch this, she was blown away by the perfect blend of action, bgm, and romcom(her favourite) that this drama offered. And she told me she never had fun like this ever since she watched AOL, a xianxia she really loved.
Lastly, thank you for adding si ming's quote! I really loved all of her quotes especially the "All that exists is fate, only love is not fate." This is the third review I really liked from you especially after your ALP review (◡‿◡ *)~ You may not know me but I joined your discord since 2021 so It was really fun seeing all of the LBFAD talks there HAHA. I'm still hoping to see you review some korean dramas like "Alchemy Of Souls" but still, here's a big heart! ❤️
I love your review!
I think we will see this type of male lead in the upcoming "Till the End Of the Moon" drama. I've read the novel and the male lead(will be portrayed by Luo Yun Xi) is very scheming and has a much manipulative duplicity than Dong Fang Qing Cang or Xuan Ye... He hurt the female lead(will be portrayed by Bai Lu) many times physically and mentally and even the female lead is crafty and deceitful haha.... But I think the serialisation would reduce the shrewdness of the main leads there, for us watchers to atleast like them >.< https://mydramalist.com/693513-hei-yue-guang-wen-na-be-ju-ben
