I wasn't aypposed to be starting any more dramas until I tidied up my watch list, but I just realised that Kim Shin Rok is in this, and she's a fucking Queen, so I guess I'm watching it anyway 🤣

Marquis is hot. Every time someone goes up to him and says "I've been bad, please punish me" I'm like, SAME. Then I remember what he's done and I'm grossed out.

At only 8 episodes, this drama is still shockingly long for how little story there is.

Fantastic drama with beautiful cinematography that changes with the narrative. And as someone who gave 12 years to my Aquarius, I also say yeah, it's worth it.

I think it works because it's kind of realistic. In reality, most people aren't going to that extent, but if you dial it back, most of us know someone like that.

I wasn't meant to be taking on another drama, because my watch list is currently kind of insane, but I accidentally stumbled across this and decided to dip my toes in the water. I've only watched two episodes and this is a visual masterpiece. Too many shit dramas forget that this medium is VISUAL storytelling, and seem to think it's just about people on screen repeating lines they've memorised. All the visual elements in this story play a part and work together. The lighting is to die for, the varying colour saturation, the appropriately used shaky cam, the tracking shots, the breaking of the 4th wall at the end of ep 1. Even down to at about the 37 minute nark in ep 2 where their outfits match their rooms when they're switching PoVs is fucking thoughtful and masterful. China has a huge population and many extremely talented artists. The fact that so many of their dramas look like shit, even the high budget ones, is an absolute sin when you see stunning visual art like this. It's amazing what you can do when you actually give a fucking shit about your craft.

Good thing the episodes are short, because they're not very good.

Nothing in any of your comments about incest indicate that you have anything beyond a rudimentary level of education. Step siblings who did not even meet until they were adults do not even give the impression if an incestuous relationship. Step siblings who did grow up together and enter into a sexual relationship may give the impression of it being incestuous, but as incest requires a biological relationship, it is still not incest.

He's hands down my favourite character as well. An absolutely chaotic, unhinged mess.

I'm not sure if waiting will help, because not subbing it seems to be a deliberate choice. Apparently viki removed the voice over altogether, so you can't hear that there's unsubbed dialogue. I have no idea why this is happening.
