This is one of the issues with the 40 episode rule. It was supposed to get rid of excessive junk, but it's helped crrate shorter junk. Keep the governmemt out of the arts.

Also, he is leading on that daughter of his master. Yes, she's a spoilt little shit, but she doesn't deserve that crap. People should get called out for the behaviour they do, not the beahavior they don't. He said nothing when she slapped her maid. The shifu/princess story also had no impact. We don't know these people, but apparently we need to know their heartbreakimg love story? They would have been better to skip it.

Agree. It feels like his character was just chucked in to create a love rival, but with little thought given to his actual character. He's got nice eyebrows though.

Hierarchy was so bad. I remember people being confused by the preganancy test in the comments, thinking she got covid and infected someome vulnerable and they died because of it 🤣 To be fair, more people have probably taken covid tests than pregnancy tests

I've been enjoying this despite some silliness and unnecessary side stories, because the chemistry has been sizzling and I've been able to focus on that. However, I have to take a break half way through ep 25 to give my brain a rest from how fucking stupid this has currently become. Also, I hope that general's concubine poisons him. What a fucking twat. His treament of her is also wildly inconsistent, which is at least consistent with the current shitty storytelling.

I was watching a drama when I was standing in line to vote a couple of years ago. I started bawling when my favouritw character died. I got some weird looks 🤣

I liked it when he tried to be all "You're not like other girls" and she shut that shit down quick smart.

I'm hooked because of the amazing chemistry, which is sadly lacking in many cdramas. There's a lot of silliness, but I've seen worse with no chemistry, so I'll take this.

Yes, the FL in Love Song is absolutely NOT ready for main roles. She's got moments, so I think the potential is there, to be good at least, maybe not great. I agree that she needs more background roles so that she's got room to practice, without being the focus of the drama. She is generally so wooden that it's distracting - I keep waiting for her face to react to things, and unless it's a big emotional moment, her expression stays the same. It pulls you out of the drama, because people's faces in real life respond to things constantly. I feel like she needs to watch videos of herself taken in real life, so that she can see her constantly changing facial expressions, and maybe then practice those interractions in front of a mirror or something.
