You should try some Jdramas for rescue dramas. Maybe Kdramas too but I haven't seen much yet. Jdramas are around 10 episodes and are likely more thrilling since they don't have to waste episodes doing nothing
does this drama have fluff? I'm not a big fan of fluffy romance dramas. So I'd like to know if this drama would be to my liking.
Is this like those typical youth cdramas set in high school/college that focuses on the FL's school life? Then she and the ML fall in love becoming a couple where after that nothing much happens.
Just seen episode 1 and I thought that instructor looked like Vin Zhang. I checked after and I was right! Omg I can't believe Vin Zhang is playing a supporting character in a drama like this. I'm hoping for some bromance between him and Yang Yang. Maybe he gets to fall in love too.
I honestly thought the 3rd one with Eunjung was the best since it was the only one not about romance and instead more focused on her relationship with her sister.
I just seen the first 2 episodes. I'm feeling like I want to stop watching it a bit. The FL starts off as like a stalker to the ML. I'm not a fan of having her like and chase him already. I would have preferred if it was more slow burn and she doesn't remember that he is the one to save her. Like focus more on both leads career and develop their relationship throughout to when one starts to fall instead of the FL already liking him.
i can agree with you. i wish MDL had a sort button to see the reviews with low scores. It took me forever to find someone who review the drama with a low score.
I watch the first episode and put it in hold. Then decide to try it again with episode 2. But it is not clicking with me. The FL is so far unlikable. I don't get why it is romance and the ML is a high school student. Lastly, I think I don't like law dramas in the Kdrama land. I watched law Jdramas and they're fine but law Kdramas I am not connecting with.
I'm guessing this drama is popular and well loved because of the actor playing the ML is very popular and romantic moments. Idk just a guess.
whats the deal with teasing that the ML is some kind of pervert/creep in episode 1? Is this supposed to be comedy? I'm not laughing. I stopped after first episode.
I'll be honest I skimmed through the last 5-8 episodes. After the one where the FL slapped the ML. 44 episodes for a modern medical drama is too damn long. If you really like a lot of episodes and medical then it's fine for you. It was fine but the amount of episodes made it feel stale or boring in the middle since they have to get through 44 episodes. IMO medical dramas shouldn't last over 20 episodes but this is a Cdrama and they like more episodes. If this was a 10-16 episode drama, it might have been better.
As long as there is no season 2 to this drama, I recommend the episode you can stop watching is episode 13.
There was no ending at all and the drama was incomplete hinting at a season 2.
I say episode 13 is a good end point. If I'm rewatching this drama in the future, episode 13 is where I would stop. The ML and the bereaved families win the trial and most of the villains are punished. Also great moments between the ML and FL in this episode if you enjoy their relationship. Just stop watching after the last scene of Dal Geon and Hae Ri in the hospital. Don't watch the last like 10 minutes of the episode if you don't want to be hooked into continuing.
I have currently seen 9 episodes and this will be unpopular but I don't like the idea of romance between the 2 leads. Honestly I would have just prefer them as great friends. Maybe develop them as friends throughout most of the show and then tease one or both of them falls for one. It kind of feels quick too me that they started to address that they like each other.
Before the last episode or last 2 episodes, Mr. Seo pushes a button that drops some barrels(I don't know the exact…
I thought the final episode was rushed and a bit over dramatic. Oh Laura had to die so Shin can finally wake up and stop being a ass. But then again I felt that was too quick of a turnaround for Shin to be somewhat better after being a total jerk the whole show. How did Shin3 make it into the warehouse were Shin was held hostage without beating up Seo's lapdog and other goons. How was Seo able to get up and being beaten up by Shin3 so easily? Shouldn't being attacked by a robot hurt more? I felt there was no need for Shin3 to be "killed". There was already a intense plot with Shin3 having little time before the kill switch activates and if David could find him in time to deactivate it. They went with the "he died" plot but then some years later "he is alive after all" ending. I have a better idea of what they should have done.
This is how I would have ended the drama. Shin3 is trying to walk out of there to David but feels weak since his power is dying. So Bong and David are looking for him. Shin3 ends up falling and is weak to move. Shin3 eyes start to close and black screen leads to a time skip.
They show the same stuff of the time skip that was shown. But in the same house or a new one in the Czech Republic, So Bong is shown in the vision of Shin3 eyes as he is laying in the bed. She like wakes him up. Then you can show what happened before the time skip. So Bong and David find Shin3 and are able to deactivate the kill switch. You could have Shin redeem himself in a way by grabbing Shin3 hand before he falls and then somehow carry him where So Bong and David find them. So Bong and Shin3 go outside and look at the sky. They hug and kiss and have a happy life far away from everyone.
You don't need to "kill" him off by shooting him and have So Bong suffer a year only to find out he is alive. You could also just show he survives the kill switch and then have us wonder how Shin3 and So Bong are living 1 year later.
As others, I was really considering dropping this early on with how awful the FL was but I read some comments…
Before the last episode or last 2 episodes, Mr. Seo pushes a button that drops some barrels(I don't know the exact word for them) that drops to kill Oh Laura as she protects Shin3. It ends with Mr. Seo calling the police that a robot has killed a human. So the cliffhanger for your final episode/s is that a robot is framed for murder and will be chased down to be arrested. The last episode did not give me that impression at all. There were barely any scenes of the police getting close to arrest him as they went on the run to hide.
After all this, human Shin is held hostage in a warehouse beaten up because Mr. Seo wants to threaten to kill him so Young Hoon hands the company over to him. Shin3 goes to rescue him but the kill switch wasn't deactivated and has few time/power left. Shin3 beats up the goons and Mr. Seo easily as he then frees Shin. He tells So Bong to take Shin away safely. David arrives to the scene as he and So Bong look for Shin3 to deactivate the kill switch. Shin3 sees that Mr. Seo's lapdog and more goons so he runs away as they chase him. Shin3 is surrounded by them and behind him is a fall to the ocean. Mr. Seo somehow was able to get up and find everyone. Shin3 tosses his watch into the ocean so they think he is the real Shin. Mr. Seo shots him with a gun and Shin3 falls into the ocean "dying" as So Bong watches in tears.
1 year later, Young Hoon is the new chairman of the company. Shin enters his office after travelling. Mr. Seo is shown in prison as he has a guest from the outside which is his lapdog who was somehow not arrested too? What!? So Bong is in her fathers gym talking with the robot toy Shin3 gave her. She goes to a beach with the toy robot and then Shin or Shin3 walks behind her. It's actually Shin and he is teasing her to think he is Shin3. But then she hears Shin3's voice and behind her is actually him. Shin used his money to find Shin3 in the ocean and David spent a year fixing him. Shin3 says he lost most of his abilities so he is now human like. Shin3 and So Bong hug and kiss. Happy Ending.
As others, I was really considering dropping this early on with how awful the FL was but I read some comments that she did get better on. So I kept watching and they were right. I started to like her and her development of her relationship with Shin3. Shin3 was easily the reason why I watched and enjoyed this drama.
The relationship between So Bong and Shin3 was so much fun that I haven't enjoyed a couple in a drama like this in a while. It began with she being his bodyguard, then they become friends, and last they fall in love with each other. They don't start to become fluffy or so until towards the end but this is what I like. Develop these 2 characters and build moments of them making you want to see them together as a couple.
But then came the other plot. This drama was looking like a 10/10 because of how much I adore the leads and if they delivered a happy ending. It's like everything or the last few episodes focused more on the plot about human Shin and the company. I like to warn you that there are so many terrible characters that you will suffer when watching(human Shin, Oh Laura(his mom), Mr. Seo/his lapdog, and the chairman). They had to jam in plots towards the end like who is gonna be the new chairman, human Shin being a jerk, Oh Laura ditching her other son Shin3 to be by her human son Shin, the chairman's dementia, and the villain Mr. Seo's quest to take over the company.
So what I really hoped how the writer would end this drama would be that when every nonsense is resolved, So Bong, Shin3, and David go back to the Czech Republic and live in their house there or some new house in a different location away from people and live their lives happily. I was having a headache seeing Shin3 have to deal with these people involved in the company. They did give fans a happy ending. They end up together but to me, I wasn't really moved by it as much as I will explain.
