I've watched the Korean version, and that drama had other characters verbally and physically assaulting the ML…
I think it had a little but not a lot compared to the Kdrama version. Also big difference here is that the FL in the Jdrama is much kinder than the one in Kdrama
I actually saw the first 4 episodes or so but put it on hold because I wasn't feeling it. Then I gave it another chance and was kind of hooked mainly because of how fun the MC Xiao Yu was. His personality somehow kept me watching until the end.
I honestly wish I kept this drama on my on hold or dropped list after watching all 44 episodes. I can say it wasn't worth all those episodes. Dramas like this make me understand why I stop watching costume dramas for awhile or how they aren't the best.
It just felt too long at times and draggy. I didn't like the 2ML and FL characters but kinda like Xiao Yu and Xin Lan together. But her (FL) character became so dumb throughout I stop caring. The frustrating part was seeing that there are 2 FL so I was wondering when the heck is the 2nd FL showing up. It took until episode 32!!!!!! Episode 32 is when the 2nd FL finally appears in the drama. It just feels so wrong to be a main lead role in a drama but only appear with like 10 episodes to the end. They gave each brother a love interest and so Xiao Yu ended up with Su Ying instead of the FL Xin Lan.
After Xiao Yu and Xin Lan separated, I honestly rushed through the episodes faster because it felt a bit the same. He would continue adventuring meeting new characters and I'm like is the 2nd FL gonna show up here or not? The most annoying part is how dumb some of our heroes were. Like letting the villains live longer and watch as they kill/trick other characters. Sometimes you have to just kill them straight up and not hesitate or else you don't and they live with evil intentions and other innocent people suffer. This is one of the reasons I regret continuing watching the drama.
My 2 favorite actors Satomi and Kame in a drama together! To top it off the drama is romance too. I haven't been so hyped for a Jdrama in a while. The mystery genre is tricky but I hope they end up together in the drama. I have to say these 2 would work well in a romcom but this should still be good
Hara and Nicole's stories were my favorites. I'll give a slight edge for Hara because of her story ending. Although both stories had somethings I disliked.
I saw the love everyone had for Gyuri's aka Ji Chang Wook's. But that story wasn't as interesting to me as I imagined it would.
I dropped it because it doesn't make sense to me. Hye Mi didn't feel like a FL I want to root for. She was so arrogant and mean. She literally stabbed Baek Hee and ended her friendship with her in the audition. Only for it to backfire her when she didn't win the audition and Baek Hee did instead. It's not justified to me even if she needed to win the audition more since the debt collectors forced her to win it or else. Hye Mi should have told Baek Hee the truth before this.
So then I wanted to root for Baek Hee since it makes sense. Hye Mi would have been finished as a character for the FL if her family wasn't in debt being chased by debt collectors and having to take care of he younger sister alone. Baek Hee realized her situation but Hye Mi doesn't want sympathy. I see it as Hye Mi doesn't deserve to be friends with someone good as Baek Hee. But they made Baek Hee the bad girl now which completely ruined it for me.
Yes as others have said, the drama starts off good/interesting. Then it peaked but since it has 24 episodes total,…
Like I don't care about seeing the ML having to do the documentary and revealing he is the famous person they needed. The show was more enjoyable when he was living in the mountains and as the FL's husband. Typical breakup, annoying side characters, and boring plot to drag the show because of it having 24 episodes

Literally stop watching around the 45 minute mark in episode 17 where he kisses Jae In. This is the best stop…
Quite fitting or a coincidence that the drama Bad Guy has a Bad ending.
Those last 15 minutes literally reversed all his revenge scheme. The wicked mother got bailed out of prison after everything he went through to send her to prison. Mo Ne shoots Gun Wook out of anger on the side of his stomach. He walks out and somehow far enough where no one sees him bleeding. He dies somewhere and they are unable to identify him, huh. That's so lame. The wicked mother is released suddenly from prison and her daughter killed someone but she doesn't know and won't be punished.
I heard they had to cut it shorter because of issues with the actor and military service. But this drama didn't even need to go longer. 16 episodes would have been fine. That's no excuse for this rushed bad ending. If you wanted him to die at the end, I'd rather they do the cliche he secretly has a illness where he dies. It would be better than having him die accidentally by Mo Ne who doesn't know and won't be punished.
I felt bad for both Tae Sung and they both were the best characters. Romance plot was uninteresting at all.
Literally stop watching around the 45 minute mark in episode 17 where he kisses Jae In. This is the best stop point for a happy/satisfying end.
Everything after that kiss scene went completely downhill and freaking awful. If you don't want to ever experience the terrible end, then follow my advice and stop at the 45 minute mark aka kiss scene.
I first saw him in The First Responders and loved his acting. He was perfect as Jindo Dog. It's gonna take me a while to get used to him in his other dramas in different characters as I will always think of him as Jindo Dog lol

Hye Mi should be apologizing to Baek Hee.
