It's the same day happening in our universe 1 where Si On is receiving a reward but she died at the end of the night. Jae Sang worries the same fate will happen to her, he makes sure she is somewhere safe away from danger. But Jae Sang is abducted into a office owned by Do Sik. He is surrounded by Pil Woo's henchmen as they put a plastic bag around his head to kill him. They live stream this as Pil Woo shows it on his phone to Do Sik to threaten him. He threatens his men will kill Jae Sang in that office where some tenants will arrive to a shock seeing a dead body thus ruining Do Sik's honor or Pil Woo is granted the CEO spot which his men will dispose of Jae Sang's dead body somewhere.
I have to say this Pil Woo freak has outdone Do Sik as a villain. It's a bit freaky seeing the assumed villain be outclassed by a even better psycho.
Before this, I thought maybe they would recreate a similar situation in universe 1 where Jae Sang and Si On are on the verge of dying but this time Jae Sang is able to save his love this time? They still could in the finale I guess but Jae Sang wanted to take the damage on this day instead.
They're gonna have the longest week ever stretched into the last 3 episodes 😂 since that's their deadline to solve the case before the team dismantles and Jae Sang's life is ruined. At least they all are finally working as a team with no one left out.
I must say this drama has delivered in those gloomy hopeless moments. It's much more deeper than you would expect to be. I like that they kept around of the victims that Jae Sang ruined their life. It's the guy who protected a woman from being sa but Jae Sang brought up the guy's father debt problem when they were settling on the money. Jae Sang has a lot to atone for his past wickedness on this man and Ms. Jang's son.
Jae Sang underwent hypnosis to remember details of who this killer is from the last moments in universe 2. The more they force me to watch those last moments of him in universe 2, the more I realize how cruel and sadistic torture it was to our MC. He was tied up sitting across his wife who was tied up defenseless. The killer brings out his weapon a hammer. The killer forces our MC Jae Sang watch begging and screaming for them to not do it. He was helplessly forced to watch his wife die in front of him.
Wow. The plot twist at the end was surprising and I'm stunned. The ceo Yoon Pil Woo was said to be Jang Do Sik's…
They just keep adding more guilt for Jae Sang to suffer. He approved and asked Ms. Jang to go on this dangerous mission to retrieve the murder weapon. There was a 3rd party he wasn't aware of and she lost her life. He's gonna receive an earful from his team especially Si On. ðŸ˜
Wow. The plot twist at the end was surprising and I'm stunned. The ceo Yoon Pil Woo was said to be Jang Do Sik's "son" but it's revealed he is his illegitimate son of the lady who is unconscious in the hospital. Not only that but the hammer inside the safe of Do Sik's safe was not even Do Sik's, it was Pil Woo's murder weapon. We then are shown seeing him hit his mother who had abused him when he was younger with a hammer. She's not dead tho.
Backing up a bit, Ms. Jang(wife of Jang Do Sik) agreed to help prosecutor Jae Sang in exchange for the safety of her and her son's lives(they've been abused by Do Sik). She goes to his office and opens up his safe to retrieve what she thought was Do Sik's murder weapon. Yoon Pil Woo had been spying on her which led to him threatening her with her son's safety. She met up with Pil Woo with the hammer that was Pil Woo's murder weapon. I guess Do Sik knows that is Pil Woo's murder weapon in the safe because what if he randomly opens it up to find it there. Pil Woo slowly walks towards Ms. Jang with the hammer. He sees resemblance of his mother in Ms. Jang and then he swings the hammer at her over and over again killing her.
Do Sik is informed of his wife's death. He rushes to Pil Woo's office to see a bloodied Pil Woo saying he protected his father. The main villain Do Sik was stunned. Has Pil Woo overtaken Do Sik as the new main villain?
I have to mention that I hope they especially Jae Sang is smarter in universe 1.
Yeah I'm loving this new Jae Sang. He left his fancy apartment to live next door to Si On. He throws a party with the neighbors and is so energetic 😂. He remembers the sea pancakes Si On makes and tastes the huge amount of salt she puts in them 🥹. I admire him being this funny nice cheerful guy to the team so they can trust him. I like how he bought her essential items in the house that will help her lifestyle. The moments of Jae Sang looking at places where he has memories of in universe 2 are so emotional. He's trying to fight back the tears in his eyes like thinking of Bo Na and when he would drop her off to daycare.
So it looks like in the original universe, it's gonna start how I thought his life in the other universe would be. Jae Sang is now the prosecutor of the detective team basically what it was in universe 2 but he and Si On aren't together as a couple. So this time we see the build to their love. Jae Sang has so many regrets in the original universe. I'm very glad he choose to quit as a lawyer at that place and smack talk the villain in front of his face before he quit. I'm relieved they didn't just go in a route where he stays but gets every information he can from Do Shik to arrest him.
So yeah, the big dislike will be the love triangle in this universe(I want universe 2 back to avoid this). All the horrible things Jae Sang did to previous people he has to live with. I know he was such a jerk in universe 1 but before he got into the car crash, it seemed like he wanted to change with the words he said to Si On on the phone. Couldn't she had at least been less hateful to him when he woke up. They could have briefly mentioned off screen that his evidence or something helped Si On arrest the villains of the week in the first case.
What I am most excited for this new direction of the drama is how Jae Sang redeems himself as a person to the world and to Si On. It's gonna be lots of effort to win the hearts of people for the reputation he had. How the 2 leads will fall for each other should be fun. I kind of wish this drama got the 20 episode treatment 😆
Ok that was a bit confusing case. The rich business fashion lady/mom of the kid wasn't dead this whole time. She…
It looks like we are done with the universe 2(I'll call it that) since the couple died. I'm gonna guess back in the original universe, those henchmen and evil woman boss were offscreen arrested while he was in a coma. I think the villain hasn't won the election to be mayor yet too. So maybe this time Jae Sang stays as a lawyer but is basically a spy. Maybe the villain has already become the mayor at this point.
Quite a few things pop in my head now that we're back in the original universe. His reputation of the selfish lawyer is back and he's gonna feel horrible about it especially to those victims lives her ruined. No more moments of the detective team working on cases together. Bo Na is not alive in this universe. Maybe the worst of all is they can now force a love triangle plot. Recently we found out that Dong Taek likes Si On and regrets not going after her. Since she is not married in this world, he can pursue her or they are already in a relationship leaving Jae Sang out. I really hope she isn't with him in this universe because I don't like seeing one of the leads basically 2 timing people only to end up with the other lead in the drama.
Ok that was a bit confusing case. The rich business fashion lady/mom of the kid wasn't dead this whole time. She killed the women she invited to stay with her so she can live her life as her. The main goal was to steal her boyfriend.
Now onto the big event that happened. Si On is sent a message from one of Jang Do Shik's henchmen to meet at a place for more information about the lady in the hospital. Since they've been portrayed as fools sometimes, she goes alone there. She is attacked from behind knocked out and now tied up. Jae Sang tracks her down from her phone he put a tracking device on. Guess what? He goes to rescue her alone too! Surprise! He gets knocked out from behind and tied up in a chair in the same room across from his wife. The henchmen with a hammer slowly starts to hit Si On as Jae Sang screams to stop. We are shown that Jae Sang has woken up in the original universe we were introduced too.
I guess that means they both died at that moment in that universe. It looked like a great universe to see the 2 leads in until it wasn't. Just thinking a bit how heartbreaking that universe goes through with their child Bo Na no longer having a parent and the villain schemes are successful. If the bait was to lure Si On because they would tell her about where her brother is, I'm ok with her looking foolish for going alone. But their bait to lure her there I didn't like and just made her so dumb. Then Jae Sang knows where she is and is in danger. But he goes alone too instead of telling his team or other police.
So Si On drops her police badge in the grass where they secretly took pictures of Jang Do Shik and his secret schemes but she has not even noticed her badge is missing.
The woman who got killed in this case was shockingly a generous woman who had popular fashion clothes. Someone with this type of interests aren't usually generous in Kdramas and unfortunately her softness to the homeless lady backfired as she probably died from her since she let her lived with her and her daughter. Maybe now I get why those rich woman with interests of fashion are selfish than kind to others.
So it looks like he isn't taking their offer to be a lawyer at their firm but unfortunate circumstances led to him missing out in the meeting and he finally had to attend his daughter's sports day no matter what.
I have to say I don't mind if the MC is some vigilante being chased by the cops and the cops are made to look stupid but when the MC's are detectives/prosecutors, it's frustrating to see how dumb the police are. We're supposed to be rooting for these people and one dumb officer left his draw opened which contained his gun. The arrested lady who killed multiple children happened to be eating her meal open in their office and saw it. She rushed to grab it and threatened to shoot a cleaning lady because how dumb these police are.
So she threatens them to give her a poice car key which they did(offscreen). But once she did, I assume she kicks away the cleaning lady and drives off? Then she happens to walk into a supermarket approaching Bo Na the lead couples kid and tricks her into walking into the car. How does the police not immediately track her after she drives off in the car and no one in the supermarket notices a criminal is there. Also how the heck did the killer know that's where the child was at a random supermarket at this time!?
Ok is there a new twist that detective Dong Taek could be the long lost "brother" of Si On? He attends the meeting that Jae Sang was supposed to go and he makes his offer of destroying the dash cam footage if they stop trying to remove Jae Sang from his job. Then the detective answers why he is going this far for the prosecutor and he responds because they're my family? Idk he looks younger. Maybe he got plastic surgery and changed his name? Is he and Jae Sang long lost brothers instead?
