Reminded why I stayed away from these dramas

Again the whole issue with Dong Jin's mother against them is ridiculously dumb. I get it she treasures her son but being very mad over Yeon Sil making her son put on gloves to wash dishes is absurd. To think that may be a reason she's against Yeon Sil. Their family has treated Yeon Sil as family for years and she's demanding against her for no good reason. To make matters worse she tries to pair her son back with his ex wife who the mother found out how badly her son was treated by his ex. How is she worse than the mother from the chaebol family who usually are more hated but not here. The 2 worst characters on this show are Hyo Joo and Ji Yeon. Hyo Joo refuses to leave Dong Jin's life alone even tho he has asked her to move on. Ji Yeon thinks the world runs around her as she makes these absurd demands to Tae Yang so her life is perfect. Ji Yeon and Hyo Sang really should not get that happy ending. Yeon Sil is still hiding from Dong Jin as they seem to drag this out more. We got that annoying cliche of one of the leads watches the other lead hug(sometimes kiss) some other guy/girl because of course they are at that spot at the right time. Who even likes this spot? Like Dong Jin should just push his ex right away the mormnt she went for a hug.

The annoying drag phase

I really don't understand why Dong Jin's mother is against the idea of Yeon Sil dating and potentially marrying her son Dong Jin. She has known Yeon Sil for years of how a great person she is. The moment she finds out Yeon Sil is dating her son her opinion on Yeon Sil is flipped out of character. The couple already had another obstacle to overcome to be together which is the plot about Yeon Sil's almost to be husband who is in prison but about to be bailed out. The mother against the main couple plot is not needed. Plus there is still the annoying ex wife who is trying to cause problems with her ex husbands new love but poses no threat. They seem to be going back and forward with the character development of Yeon Sil. Before she became close with Dong Jin, she's weak, a pushover, sad, and scared around her almost to be husband and his mother plus the gang members. When she got together with Dong Jin, he helped her feel more confident and courageous to those people. Now she's gone backwards again by feeling threatened of the convict thus leaving Dong Jin to fight this on her own. I'm just trying to get through these episodes quickly so I can get through these predictable annoying plots that shouldn't drag out any longer.

New look new direction for Tae Pyung

I'm heartbroken that Tae Pyung decided to cut his hair and shave his goatee for a new look and he switched to trot music. The longer hairstyle and goatee made him stood out and now the charm is gone.

Wolgyesu hooray!

The quartet of the 4 guys( Dong Jin, Sam Do, Tae Pyung, and Tae Yang) teaming up for occasions is growing on me. Especially in this episode when they solved who switched the suit. These 4 guys basically aura farmed this episode. Dong Jin is standing in front and the other 3 are behind him but appear one by one fo the side had me unexpectedly laughing. Later on they wear the suits and appear in fhe fashion show. They've basically become like brothers now.Interesting twist that Hyo Sang ordered the plan to switch out the suit that Sam Do was working on. It seemed so set up for Hyo Joo to br the culprit because of her nasty attitude towards Dong Jin that she would do anything to make him fail. Maybe it could end up as her being the one who ordered her step brother to do this evil scheme. The Hyo Won and Tae Yang ship is still not conplete even tho Hyo Won has confessed. It's still my favorite couple but the main one between Dong Jin and Yun Shil has grown on me. The misunderstandings and him being mean to her was rough but since he learned more of her, he's become so much kinder. He's even fallen for her.

Dong Suk is a mess of a character

Dong Suk is my second hated character behind the obvious choice Min Hyoo Joo. She fangirls over the guitar singer Tae Pyung which lead to terrible decision making. This obsession with the guy made her steal her mother's money to support Tae Pyung in becoming a music star again. But he fell for a scam and lost that money away. But then it's revealed Dong Suk took out ALL of her daughter's money in her account to support Tae Pyung. If her daughter Da Jung was treated more important to the drama, they would have had her extremely upset over what happened and not brush it off like that. Also Dong Suk's mother should be more upset at her daughter for stealing the money and giving it to a man she just met instead of fully blaming it on Tae Pyung.

Life without Ji Hee

The tears have not stopped shedding as Ju won has to now live on with his daughter Hui Soo only. He takes her home, takes off her shoes and his shoes, puts them on their shoe rack but one shelf is now empty. That shelf was for his wife's Ji Hee's shoes. The melancholic music plays in the background. Ju Won is still grieving iver his wife's death. His daughter wakes up and asks if he's crying. He responds not anymore and has to move on. A scene I found sweet but also tearful is when Ju Won is putting on his shoes but the motion sensor light isn't turning on for him. Hui Soo is behind him waving her hand to activate the light for her father as he can tie his shoes in the light. His wife did the same thing for him and now his daughter did soo as well. She's already got her mother's traits in her. At the end of the episode, it's back in the present. Ju Won finds out that his wife was smiling at Hui Soo before she died since she found out her daughter had inherited her father's power of not feeling pain/regenerate. He asks her daughter to go gone first so he can cry alone. I think half of his script for the actor is to cry and he's strong at it. This character deserves happiness.

my favorite pairing so far

The backstory of how Jang Ju Won and Hwang Ji Hui met is very sweet. I already see the resemblances between them with their daughter's love story. Jang Ju Won has become my favorite character. As someone who has watched and enjoyed some of Jin Yong's novels turned into dramas, I loved Ju Won's message of his interest in martial arts novels of how martial arts stories are actually about romance. I adored the scene of Ju Won all bloody and tired riding on the back of Ji Hui's moped as they flee from the gangsters because it was a resemblance to how in the novels Ju Won was reading like "Legend of the Conder Heroes" sometimes the couple would ride a horse together where the woman sits in front and the guy sits behind her as they flee from the bad guys. Ju Won realizing in that moment he was living out his love story like in the novels he read.

An evil counterpart to the rainbow taxi team?

It may seem that the Rainbow taxi team has met their match? Coincidentally enough the villains they are going up against are like a evil counterpart to themselves. Almost similar roles except they have a big guy as their killer and a cop on their team. The writers have done a great job in making us feel fearful of these villains and hopeless to how will the rainbow taxi team defeat them.

Good in depth about training to be a idol but questionable writing

The writing feels kind of strange for this case especially the end. I think it was pretty clear the rainbow taxi team didn't want Jang Na Ra's character to die there at the end with Kim Do Gi trying to save her from falling from the rooftop but it was too much for her. The rainbow taxi team are supposed to be very clever but here it seems like they looked foolish in letting her get her way to die than eventually being arrested for her crimes. They should have known that on the rooftop, she would have of course consider taking the easy way out and fall to her death. Why would they send a bunch of drones to flash lights at her that made her lost in the moment and walked backwards nearing the edge of the rooftop? When Do Gi loses his grip on her hand/purse, we get this dramatic scene of her falling all the way down that I thought they would do something like the rainbow taxi team caught her with an helicopter or a there's a rescue air cushion ready for her down there but we don't know. The next scene is the team hanging out eating cheerfully. In short, they never wanted to kill her but why wasn't it just as simple as dodger her attack with her cane and tackle her down later sending her to the police. This writing made them look foolish in them not punishing her the way they probably wanted. Onto the good things, it was really fun seeing Do Gi go undercover as a manager for a Kpop girl group. I really enjoyed most is how he formed a wonderful bond with the girl group in such a short time that he even became a fan of them after. He usually goes undercover as some character to side with the villains then destroys them at the end but this time while he was undercover, there were actually people he could help, connect, or be kind to genuinely. The best part was seeing him as a manger fill in for one of their members to dance with the rest while being filmed on tv. What can Lee Je Hoon not do? There was actually a viral video of a popular Kpop girl group Apink and their manager who like Do Gi filled in for a member and danced with the rest. It looks just like the scene here in Taxi Driver season 3. I'd like to believe the writers used that as inspiration for this scene which was amusing.

Uno reverse to the villains

From my observation and memory, season 3 has a vibe mixed of both seasons. It has the season 1 violent tone back but the lightheart entertaining schemes of the rainbow taxi team. The most satisfying part was when they pulled a uno reverse card in making the villains of the week fall into their own scam scheme. Seong Cheol pulls out the other paper of the contract telling them to have to pay this amount of money too and he responds to them calling out their bodyguard by calling out his "Kim". Kim Do Gi hopping out after being summoned was pretty funny. I LOVED seeing Go Eun get in on the action by slapping the woman on the villain team. The cherry on top is that they were put into a flooded car they themselves messed around and were stuck driving nonstop because of their own work. It's up to our imagination I guess whether they crashed into a wall or into the river or something. I enjoyed seeing the villains get trolled with a taste of their own medicine.

Tortured and punished for the bullies

They decided to tell the truth about lying of the report of arson. Thankfully the police detective on the case was their friend Han Se Yeon. Now to help their client who is a boy being bullied, they would have to settle it in a school meeting with their attorneys. I really enjoyed Kim Jeong Ho and the bullies attorney go back and forth about this isn't a "criminal court". My favorite part is when Jeong Ho shows a video(obtained illegally) of the bullies torturing the guy, their attorney argues that video was not obtained legally/their source, but Jeong Ho responds back with this isn't a "criminal court", it doesn't matter how he got the video. Then he has this big grin on his face knowing he won this round. A big takeaway from this case was how Jeong Ho told the bullies he has videos of their criminal acts which tortures them especially the bully leader yet he lied about the videos after all. It was karma for them torturing the boy and making him fear everyday. Another one is where the bully leader's father is the mayor and he and his lawyers march into the cafe but Yu Ri screams at them and unleashes words that make them back out of the cafe. Jeong Ho was gonna stand in to protect but he saw her scream and handle them by herself. That was great showing how strong of a character she is. Then the kid starts to cry and breath because these wonderful people of this cafe are standing by his side to protect/fight with him. One more takeaway is how these 2 episodes did a wonderful job in focusing on supporting characters like Eun Kang. We saw his little sister die by bullies, he was gonna kill the bullies by trapping them in a house of fire but he ended up opening the door for them to escape, and his frustrations of wanting to kill the people who killed his sister. He didn't admit it but it was clear he saw this boy in the same position his younger sister was in and felt passionate to help him. This case really brought the cafe team closer together. I hope they grow their bond more when hopefully we learn more about Bae Joon. I love that the drama doesn't drag the cases. I'm definitely enjoying the mix of comedy, romance, law, and drama.

Great chemistry no matter what characters they play as

Zhang Bin Bin and Sun Zhen Ni have wonderful chemistry no matter which character they are playing as. Demon Lord Zhao Ming is already bonding great with Mu Xuan Ling like a couple. Whether it's the bickering, awkwardness, or even flirting, they match together perfectly.

Zhang Bin Bin as a villain is phenomenal

Demon lord Zhao Ming is so ruthless and vicious yet I kind of enjoy it. He threatens the immortal alliance he will kill a sect each tine a incense stick burns. He inflicts demon energy into people instead of killing them. Although I wish they let him kill at least one notable character. He yoinks out Gao Qiu Min and Fu Lan Sheng from that portal place where apparently just dreaming of the flashback we watched lol. Then Zhao Ming chains fhem up in the lava where mortals can only survive up to 3 days. He does so to force Mu Xuan Ling to give up her power of chaos soon if she wants to save their lives. Zhao Ming's fate was changed by the Fate deity as he suffered down in the lava for 10,000 years and became a deity. Fate deity punishment for doing so was being sent to the mortal world and never having his wishes happen along with his loved ones abandoning him. I'm dejected that we didn't get more episodes of evil Zhang Bin Bin in this show as it's nearing it's end. It's gonna be the FL Mu Xuan Ling trying to save the ML/villain/her love Zhao Ming from the demon darkness in him. I wouldn't mind if this became a trope.

Xie Xue Chen sacrifices himself for Mu Xuan Ling

Xie Xue Chen once again fails to change the past to ensure Mu Xuan Ling lives in the present. There is one option left to save her and that's destroying his spiritual channel and giving back the chaos power to her. But in doing so he will die. He does so and Mu Xuan Ling awakens while Xie Xue Chen dies with a spirit of him still living in the present elsewhere. I think it's living in Zhao Ming who is now free and takes over the dark abyss. Meanwhile the deity that took over Nan Xu Yue's body is forcing Mu Xuan Ling(who was a deity in the past/his lover?) to marry him. I might be staring in anger if they actually force her to marry him and go through with it. Xie Xue Chen is dead but we still have Zhao Ming and my god it's so breathtaking seeing Zhang Bin Bin in the evil boss role. Maybe not the evil boss tho since there is still that deity in Nan Xu Yue.

It's time to time travel

After swallowing the lotus and enduring the brutal climb up the stairs to meet the god who can grant him any wish but for the price, he has to travel through time for his goal. Xie Xue Chen wants to save Mu Xuan Ling so she is living in the present and to do so the god will transport him any place back in time for him to try and achieve his goal. The catch is that each time he goes to the past his energy gets weaker, his spirit can only travel and not his current body, he is not allow to change the fate of others specifically, and he can only live through a day in the past for that day he chooses. So the first date he thinks he can fix things so she can live is when he could have killed He Xian Wo in the forest. The same fate happens and he fails. He tries to go back further and rescue a young Mu Xuan Ling in the dark abyss but she refuses to leave with him. He fails again. He goes back to the day she was saved by who we thought was Zhao Ming but turns out it was him Xie Xue Chen all along. It ends on a cliffhanger as the night approaches when Sang Qi leads a army to kill the Gao family and took Mu Xuan Ling with him.
