Yess I agree with you on everything you said about both WTPR and MD!! Historicals are not for everyone true, to each their own, but a great story is a great story no matter the genre imo haha. MD truly is a gem and I hope to see another Saeguk come close to it in the near future!! 💖
What I also like about WTPR is how different it is from typical kdramas, it has a serious more mature undertone, without the silly and sometimes unecessary humour. It’s more kinda grounded, and there are so many subtleties that are hard to catch at first but once you do and connect the dots, it makes you appreciate the characters and the story more. It shows great writing, production and acting behind it!! Yeah absolutely, let’s hope the drama continues the way it has so far!! ❤️

Just a a question, when he tells her that, does she already know she got the job? I remember him telling her in the kitchen she did well but to not get over herself yet. It was the last interaction they had before the anniversary. And the next interaction she had with him was through that phone call.

This type of love shown in the drama was so pure, loyal, intense and strong despite the hard circumstances surrounding them. Janghyun was down bad for Gilchae from the beginning till the end. Really one of a kind story 🤧 I was praying for another drama to come close this year, there’s only WTPR for me which is funnily enough broadcasted by MBC too. I know it’ll not give me what My Dearest did because it can’t, but I am confident it’ll be a different masterpiece of it‘s own. ❤️ Ah it’s good to hear My Desrest is being loved on other platforms!! 🌸🌖🪭

Another is in episode 4, when she sees him talking to other women, she gets jealous, and calls him to get his attention back to her. In the preview of episode 5, she literally goes beyond her psychological block and calls out his name when the truck of doom appears

OMG a fan of My Dearest and WTPR?! No wonder we’re already friends on mdl hahah Yess Janghyun and Gilchae had one of the best romance I’ve ever seen on screen. The story, the character depth/development, the acting, the music, the historical accuracy, the romance, the long deserved happy ending were all chef kiss. Shame it’s not as recognized here as it should, but mdl users tend to prefer contemporary to historical dramas
It takes a painfully long time ... We won't reach episode 12 until January 4th, which means the Christmas holidays…
Usually during the holidays, with family and stuff I watch less dramas. This drama though is just too good so I don’t know if I’ll obsess less over it during that time
