Yes, I caught that reference but some Chinese terms are so confusing. In some Cdramasa, some couples refer to their significant other as "Brother" just like in kdramas where they use the term, "Oppa" between couples where the guy is older than his girlfriend, whereas "Oppa" can also refer to an older brother of a younger sister.

Can someone clairfy the family relationship of Han Ting and his uncle Mr. Lu? So is Mr. Lu's mother married to the grandfather? Is it on Han Ting's mother or father's side?

I disagree. It's okay if she was the friend on YiChen's side but she is one of the best friends of JX. I have a lots of gfs and we would never cross that line. We all agreed that we would naturally sever friendships if that were to happen. True gfs and besties are like sisters from another mother. It definitely wouldn't happen. Especially if a couple was together for 4 years. I know that women in my circle would never and neither would I. But where i come from, there are plenty of single men available. But to each their own.

This is exactly how I see it too. The one time Jiang Li gets kidnapped and almost assaulted by her ex-fiancé and Duke Su barely bats an eye. He just sits across from her, watching her as she sleeps with rope marks on her wrists. That whole part was the worst. They just kept showing close ups of everyone staring at each other as they are really staring into the camera. The romance between these two was actually boring. China censoring kissing scenes is so unnecessary.

Especially since they were together for 4 years. Really true best gfs would never cross that line. You can see in the end credtis they get married. I'm already fast-fowarding their scenes.

I agree with the OST and the background music just in general. It's like that paino music in a hotel bar. It literally puts me to sleep in some scenes!!😴

There are other ways they can communicate. Text and talking on the phone can be just as effective onscreen and sometimes even more impactful. Oh yeah, I forgot it's a kdrama... whatevs. For every person who has to remind ppl we're watching a kdrama as if we don't know.

It makes zero sense to me why Ji Han and Ah Jung keep meeting up alone together.

I think it would be more realistic if she died in the end but I think that she'll be one of those "miracle survivors". Having the doctor say that he has witnessed miraculous survival stories is probably foreshadowing the ending.
