So happy to have found this drama which hooked me from episode 1 and that I don’t think I will be dropping, after dropping a few cdramas in a row recently.
I think FL is okay, I just don’t like her hairstyle and hair colour. The actress looks soooo much better in the recent promo appearances she did for the drama with a different hairstyle!
Nearly ditched the drama on the first episode, but I am glad I stayed. I thought I was too old for school dramas but this somehow worked for me. I even signed up for Youku VIP membership and bought the early-preview episodes too lol.
First half of first1/3 of the drama was cute, then it got super draggy. They took way too long to get together and i was confused that even after the whole boat scene (with the cheap CG) they were still not officially a couple or that FL and ML still weren’t sure the other liked them.... When the cancer part came about I actually LOL-ed literally because I couldnt believe they actually started using these cheap drama tropes. Cancer and noble love.
I normally don’t like ditzy female leads bit somehow I find the FL in this bearable. Cute fluffy watch. I have been dropping alot of cdramas recently but managed to watch this till the end!
this drama is cute (mainly for the 2 leads' chemistry) and reminds me of old-school korean dramas from the mid 2000s. I have dropped alot of korean dramas and fast-forwarded many too in recent years, but I managed to sit through this one for some reason and quite liked it too! Agree that the last few episodes were way too draggy though.
It was a little weird how the male lead suddenly started to like the female lead romantically. it went from like 0 to 100 so that was quite jarring. other than that, Joy was really a joy to watch. I now try to spot her when I watch Red Velvet performances.
The drama was cute until the plot twist, and subsequently lots of things happened that did not make sense. Do yourself a favour and watch something else, there are so many other better Chinese dramas. Spend your time wisely :)
I binge-watched 12 episodes in two days on netflix. It's so good, and the message about finding the right person who can accept your flaws (and whose flaws you can accept) rings close to heart. It's not easy to find exactly just that person. Glad I decided to watch this despite one of my friends telling me not to watch this cos she dropped it after Episode 5. She claims it was boring. lol. different strokes for different folks I guess!
There were so many characters that I found it a little hard to keep track of who is who, especially during the first few episodes. Also, the plot moves really slowly. But it was still sweet to watch them go dating and stuff.
I watched this 4 years ago and remembered it as a good drama, then I came here and read the reviews and remembered that the second half possibly sucked. I can't really remember though, I only remember that I really really liked the first half when the couple meets, bickers and fall in love. Just watch the first half I suppose and fast-forward the rest I suppose?
this drama made me an Infinite fan because of Woohyun and Sungyeol, but...I had to drop this after around episode 14-15. the drama started out good but the plot/characterization became quite frustrating/pointless/didn't make sense halfway.
It's been years since I watched this but I remembered liking this very much, which was a surprise since everyone around me told me this was a bad drama.
I was obsessed with this drama and came to like Se7en (even bought his CDs, ha).
Just dropping my two cents, despite the bad reviews I came to really like Goong S (even more than Goong, which I adored), so what can I say? Taste is really subjective. Give this a try, you never know, you may end up liking it!
