I can totally see it has a similar vibes to other xianxias but different is different. It feels as if like all the main leads from xianxia dramas are doing quests but Sima Jiao and Liao ting yan are doing a better job . Sima Jiao and Liao ting yan are such a grumpy and sunshine duo. I love them so much. I love the pacing and it is getting better and better. There is something about LTY's humor, she is a funny character and it is not forced. Similarly, Sima Jiao has a unique character, mix of aloof, bloodthirsty yet somehow he is the most caring person. I love this drama so much

I don't understand the double standards. When FL spends time with ML it's for romance development which is true. But, when FL has screentime with her friends it's called a "filler episode".

I love the drama so far. However, I think as long as they spend equal amount of eps for their teenage times and adulthood would be perfect. Like a youth and modern drama combined at once.
