this drama is an adaption from the book of same name and it has an American show of two seasons.
this is a consistent paced drama , from the first episode to last, you will feel like it going smoothly , without no dragging in the plot or story line. i must say that there were some plot holes in the story and in some parts things could have done better , but that doesn't effect the story much , only the realistic tone of the drama is affected. from the first episode, the characters are set continuously and i think even though they barely showed any back stories for most of the characters their acting pulled it off smoothly. for many Korean dramas they tend to show a lot of things in the first half , and stretch the plot in the last half , but this was not the case in this drama. each of the episodes was carefully linked to one another and has presented the chance to guess along with the show. it has a little things of showing flashback which was even though overdone added some pace to the drama ( you will always try to guess the outcome) and maybe for the original story , this drama was a little less predictable like any other drama , it didn't try to inflict suspicion on everyone though , it would have been mind boggling for the viewers, overall it was a well written drama , but that's why i wanted it to be better but it managed to get me excited over each episode, and it has very little and well showed romance between the characters , i cant tell enough how i loved that so much
for the acting , every actor was mind blowing , even though i hadn't seen any of their works. they executed their role perfectly , each of the characters. i wished there would be more action scenes and a little bit more mystery , but it is strong drama which managed to pull of despite some setbacks , watch it you will not regret if you like the synopsis. some said that the ending was a bit messy because they didn't cleared things up that much , but if you look the dialogues in the last part of agent han it makes sense

if you want to watch something not very rushed and clearly thought out drama about time traveling this might be a good choice . i started watching this because of one of favorite actors lee joon hyuk , but this drama was a very good shot.
up until the things get revealed , it has a good watch value , contrary to some opinions , i think that the last 2 or so episodes were amazing as well, and in a kdrama world where they always mess up the plot for no reason , this drama held out well. in first few episodes you might be baffled what is going on , but its not that hard to keep on track . in the later episodes things will get intense ( but no dragging ) . it was a clearly well written and directed drama , almost no plot holes and even if things get predictable , there are hardly any cliches. this is not the most mind-blowing time travel drama in the sense that its not that complex, if you hold into some key points then its enjoyable to watch. there will be many twists , so many twists but you won't regret them , none of them are unnecessary.
the acting was on point. there were no overdrawn cliches and despite having dynamic leads there was no romance at all , which in a sense helped the drama to get into another level , because there were no other variables involved, for which i really liked the drama. i can't deny that i wanted to see their cute moments but the pace of it really over shadowed my desire for it haha . each of their acting was natural and when i say it felt natural i mean all of the lead characters and side characters . their portrayal really felt so real. aside from the main leads , i really liked the acting of the actress who was se rin 's character she was very good .
the drama had a very good ending and i am glad that they didn't drag it for making 16 episodes and ended it at 12. i always felt like time travel or mystery dramas can be very well made into 12 episodes or 14 at least , then there remains no unnecessary dragging involved. my review might not be very articulate , but i really want to people to watch it if they read this review. it was one of the best dramas i have ever seen in terms of time travleling , which never felt out of line for one moment , it started good , continued good and ended very good. a very well written , directed and acted drama.

an outstadning horror(ish?) drama with good acting

I mainly started watching the drama for jung ji so ( the female protagonist) . This drama is pretty fast paced , with interesting characters and story
this drama started out strong and with a few hiccups here and there it ended pretty well . what i liked about this drama is that the main character of jin hee who started out as a justice seeking reporter , i thought her character would be one dimensional ( i am sorry i tend to be judgemental about characters at first sometimes ) but her back story and character advancement took me by surprise. i was fascinated by her relationship with so jin , at first she was reluctant to believe her but gradually she wanted to and then ended up doing. Her decisions in the beginning played a major part in the story and i was pretty surprised by her actions after the major procedure thing happened at first. along the story her relationship with so jin was full of ups and i was so in for it .
then coming to our main female protagonist so jin , jung jiso nailed her job ( i love her ) , she is a morally gray character with mainly one aim throughout the show , destroying the main antagonist and his shaman . she didn't even hesitated to do a procedure at the beginning only to make jin hee believe ( i am weak for morally gray characters anyway) . later she went to lengths to take revenge and save jin hee from the antagonist ( these episodes were the best ones) .
aside from these two characters other ( small and big) everyone did a good job too , i just don't want to write about them now. lastly , the plot twist in the end episodes ( about the dog spirit in so jin and jong hyun) , i liked how this lead the story. its fairly action packed ( you will understand once you watch !)considering the setting of characters. and i really liked the shots and whole aesthetic of this show. i saw somewhere that a season 2 is coming and i am eagerly waiting for it.
* if you want to watch something slightly non conventional and into horror , this might be it , its only 12 episodes and you wont be disappointed.

A beautiful film about depicting confusion and joys of a teenage girl and those who are around her

''regret only comes after taking action''
The movie opens with hour female protagonist (Tsubame)dropping a letter to her neighborhood crush and waking up next morning only to regret it. While she lives with her step mother who is expecting her child and her father , they are a sweet family at first glance. But confusion soon arises around her while she feels conflicted about the new family she will have to live in with her new sibling. Then one day she meets a mysterious granny on the roof of the calligraphy class she is taking and a new part of her life begins.
from here on , the movie takes us on a feel good journey. I am always captivated for this type of element in the slice of life movies and dramas. granny and our FL goes on having journeys around the city and their conversations develop. while she asks for advises from granny about her family , crush and so on , our granny talks strange at times but her words are worth pondering upon.
the next part of the story advances when our Tsubame goes around searching for the grand kid of her mystical granny who lives in a crimson colored tiled roof house, while tsubame takes walk around the city with toru ( her crush) this part of the story is filled with her joys of being with him , in an innocent way. But in the end times of the movie when its discovered that makoto ( tsubames classmate) is actually the grand kid of the granny and after that she disappears telling her new things are coming her way she have to treasure them all ; only after that its shown that she was not alive after all . Now we may think was she the imagination of ... or is a mystical element shown in the movie ? its upto viewers interpretations
now coming into the cinematography of the movie - its excellent . with wide shots and closer shots of the characters it emphasizes the characters expressions as well the stories they are thinking and talking about. color tone of the movie enhances the impact of it. the graphics are fairly beautiful and gives you the magical vibes if not perfect. the sound track goes all well with everything.
now as a whole , this a movie you can watch if you don't want anything stressful , something light about a life of a normal teenage girl with her thoughts. It doesn't lead us to think much about anything or it doesn't make us choose between anything. it's just tsubame , her conflicts and her way of solving them and living in her time , as a normal teenager. but honestly the more i am not fascinated by its story , i am fascinated by the cinematography of this movie , its totally outstanding for me . to point out , the montage when tsubame returns from tokyo in rain and toru has an accident chasing his sisters boyfriend , this part of the movie was so subtle, i would like to watch more movies from the same director.
i read the japan times review that this movie lacks impact and sparkle and i somewhat agree with that however it doesn't make me feel like this movie could have been better. sometimes we need a movie where life is shown through someones normal eyes , general thoughts and with less conflict and average confusions. Though world is filled with so many problems , we need movies where life moves around an imaginary granny , family reconciliations after small disagreements and where joys come from writing letters to your crush ( and also i am not justifying her crush on an older boy or anything , they could be good friends and good influence on each other and she can move on when she grows up) . over all , its a very likable movie with likable characters and houses !

in a word , this drama is captivating , strong in story line and good acting makes it a pleasure to watch
the main 3 protagonists act well on their characters and i like the way how this drama was written . it don't go back and forth between the past and present life the usual way , the way of transiting between the different era's is a good and charming characteristics of this drama
about the romantic perspective of this drama , i found their romance to be more realistic relatively and captivating , the chemistry between two main leads are fun and nice to watch and their interactions, way of meeting each other and spending time together was relatively realistic and it do brings out a smile in your face while watching them together .
and i must say , the bonding between HSJ and YJO was so pure , humorous and a breath of fresh air , while we watch the traditional k drama ish relation between friends when there is a love interest in between , they really had a good and joyful way of portraying their relation. the bonding between two male and leads and female leads as friends is one of the best part of this drama.
the supporting characters were a joy to the story line, they managed to balance out the characters , just the right amount of humor and fun.
and one of the biggest point of this drama is how in contrast the past life and present life is and how they were brought together . last but not the least yoo ah jin was phenomenal and adorable (you will know when you see it T T )
from start to finish , they managed to keep their pace , established a dynamic storyline which was enhanced by the outstanding acting of yoo ah in , im so jung , go kyung pyo , kwak shi yang . they carried out their roles beautifully . you will love the protagonists and kind of hate the antagonist (?) i mean even though there is no clear antagonist in this drama . ( decide it yourself !!)
and finally the cinematography and the set designs are very good to , just to give the exact vibe !!
