Oh my god! that's the ending!? Great! So she talked about the "people" people" " all the time and left the throne to the irresponsible insecure easy to influence manchild of a brother! Her father was an incompetent king, this brother will be the same. They seem to have the strong competent queen lineage. Her mother was a ruler kind, she could've been too if the character was written better. I liked almost everything about the drama except for the writing. Politics, saeguk and zombie are not my flavor of ramyun but i still sometimes enjoy political dramas with strong and firm fl characters and a lot of smart intrigues from the leads. And no self righteous lectures on how you shouldn't be killing people and winning underhandedly because that makes you a bad bad person. Like, please! Nobody is sitting for their SATs here. I liked Empress Ki. My all time favorite though is the Cdrama Ming lan. It shows how you don't have to lift a single finger to turn over a ruling. A few smart brain cells do the deed.

I wanted to watch it for my baby Kim So Hyun, my man Ji Hoon and my curiosity to watch Na In Woo's lead role. So, all these were done successfully and satisfyingly. The chemistry of both the couples are beyond awesome. My baby has become so much more easy with physical chemistry, now that she's 21. She was already doing well in Nokdu, here she took it 10 steps further by getting proactive with the kisses and the other body language stuff needed to make a romantic scene great. Actress she was born, now she's got everything in her arsenal.
First time seeing Ji Hoon kiss and seriously why he has not kissed on screen so long! Really mad at writers and producers or whoever responsible for depriving me of this awesomeness with the roles he was given. Stupid peeps!

This drama really did a great job with production, direction, acting, etc. given the setback they faced. Big round of cheers! About the writing, even if they didn't have the "situation", i'd have still not liked how the story is straddling romance and politics without successfully finishing the either for me. For me it's kind of romance drama where i was kind of tricked to get a little interested in the politics which didn't please me at all. I would've wanted the princess to sit on the throne with whatever planning plotting needed and On dal to stand beside her as her partner and general for life. But i guess this wanted to show the blood lust of revenge and politics that get to you and the consequences of it or whatever. For me that too then got muddled from somewhere in the middle. So, i ended up in a identity crisis with the story. Not talking about the open ending because the director had good intentions behind it so i'll just look away from it and consider On Dal's death The ending. Which again in a normal romance is great for me (I am a sucker for sad endings) , in politics too is cool like in Empress Ki but here this could have been as i said before they both living and ruling.

So. Ya. That's that!

I can't believe this douche insulting MY's love by comparing it to his obsession. She never once tried to get him like an object or conquest like he's with the princess throughout. She just always stayed beside him. Didn't even want to harm the princess to get her out of the equation. GG's is an obsession of obtaining a mirage he's been running after for so long and hers is an unconditional love where she wants him to be happy and safe and is ready to sacrifice herself for it. So pissed at the ending of their story.

Loved though the importance and substance Ji Hoon got in this drama. His most meaty role i'd say. Hope he gets these kinds of roles more if not lead.

I really wish Mo Yong died. I get everyone who feels why should she die for an incomplete love of an undeserving person instead she should move on and live her life to the fullest but i am the cruel type who wants Go Geon to feel the pain of losing her to death and live his full life in that excruciating pain of not valuing the person who loved him the most and stood beside him in all his crazy obsession which btw i absolutely don't consider love or its any slightest form. But instead now he just got an easy exit of death. Very unsatisfied with this conclusion of their story.

p.s. That jerk didn't even die saving MY. I am so effing pissed rn...

In Woo isn't good FOR a replacement. HE IS JUST GOOD. PERIODT! Like this role was written for him. I just discovered him in Mr Queen and was very impressed by his acting there. This is like amazing. Dude is so good. I am glad that this character found him.

Why can't she covet the throne? She totally should. If she cares for the people as she claims she should be a queen for the people. But she wouldn't here, right? Because she's not decided yet whether to be a really nice person or a ruler/politician. You can't be both and this is a romantic drama at heart i guess. So yeah... no chance of her to be a queen.

Damn! The subbing schedule of this show might kill you if you don't understand Chinese, can't afford the Tencent Vip but still greedy enough to expect watching early, like me. I am gonna start with the last 3-4 episodes raw because no mood for dying yet.

Agreed. He's so hot, so digging his tortured soul vibe to the very end. Swooning aside, LJH did such a good job…

Jinmook cut off Yuyeon's fingers when she still was in his Van and alive, she then escaped and got hit by a car.
Right. Like you have to keep keen eyes or you will miss stuff. I even rewinded some scenes for understanding things. Pretty intense it was.

He did? Omg! And here i am thinking i saw her with her fingertips while running towards the car. Probly so invested in the plot that saw the details wrong.

Finished it. Loved it. It had its flaws, nonetheless, amazing! I am a habitual ff-er but didn't ff a single scene of it. It was not boring for a moment, neither draggy. Enjoyed every moment of it. I had an unresolved question, why jin mook cut yoo yeon's finger tips? He did cut those, right? Or did i misunderstand?

It was a two part story. First was uncovering the serial killer, which i wish they had explored a little further, and the second was dealing with the big baddies who sit at the top tier of the society and politics and manipulate the world to their will. I enjoyed both parts, even though i usually hate this trope of higher ups of pecking order bullying lower downs to death. I liked this one though because they did it differently. They showed even though the big dudes and dudettes are powerful, they still can be vulnerable. And there's not always unity among thieves and bandits like these which we always see in other such trope dramas. If you manage to find the chink in the armor and keep worrying it, it may give in. I loved how the small community of these friends and wellwishers of one other in this small town, in spite of their differences and doubts, stuck by one another and were ready to sacrifice themselves for the friends till the end. That working together paid off. I loved how no one person in this show was one dimensional, and all were capable of being the perp. They all were a bit crazy in some ways because that's how humans are.

I felt the laughs were a little affected. Not because the actors were doing it so but the characters were made to insert these creepy smiles or laughs in almost every scene where something suspenseful was laid before, just for putting an extra effect on the scene or the probable craziness of the character, which i think was the only non-subtle thing in the whole show.

But loved it anyway as i said. I was satisfied in the end. Not happy because it was not meant for that way. It was an apt ending. I was satisfied and at the same time extremely hungover from the sadness of the family -- a happy, well doing, church going family -- with two piano and guitar playing beautiful kids and a pretty decently big house that was ruined overnight. The girl went to meet her bf, witnessed a psychos deeds and got captured and locked, mouth taped and hands tied, in his car beside a deadbody (from what i understood) and then luckily let go by him only to get hit by a car and then again her dead body run over by her bf's car, psycho stole her corpse and cut off her finger tips to arrange them decoratively on her yard for her fam to see, then finally her body walled by the psycho in her own house's basement where she remained for 21 years like that. The brother got suspected for her and another girl's murder and got locked up so no one sympathized with her family as a victim's instead everyone remembered the brother as the suspect, no care that he was acquitted of the crime, for life and some threw salt on him to ward of the evil that he was supposed to be which surely made him how he was with the constant bottled up pain. The father froze to death waiting for the dead daughter, the mother ended up in the hospital. A happy family today became a ominous mention the next. I thought about it seriously after watching it and the possibility of something like it in the real life gave me the chills.

All the actors were brilliant. After a long time i was satisficed with the character Jin goo played. I love him, he's my baby. but his last few shows weren't bringing out his potential which this one did. I went back to my memories of the child who made me cry each time with him. ♥ No need to mention the talent that is Shin Ha kyun because everyone knows it. This was my first time watching him and it felt like he has been doing this role in all his dramas throughout his career.

This one left a hole in my heart which i then filled by watching Sweet home which again left another whole in my heart.
