I think his hatred started with hating the brother-in-law then the jiang family in general for being so outstanding and talented and then he probably started to hate his son since the jiang family's blood flows within him (so twisted T_T)

basically a father who can't stand his own son being greater than him, can't stand his wife being able to fight, can't stand his brother-in-law being more capable than him

a jealous and narrow-minded father
