I've checked this drama multiple times here in MDL but just realize the FL was Han Hyo Joo! Though, the reviews somehow stops me from watching it. 😞

I don't get why Ming yi didn't react to the things the Bo sisters told her. Like it went over her head. She was…
MY didn't know that the only one who could enter the illusion is the Bo Clan descendants. Judgung by how they called her "Ming Xian," she only wondered how they knew her real name but even after asking that and the other questions, she didn't get an answer. So I suppose, her getting the GDM recipe was already enough for her that's why she looked past to it. Besides, she wasn't guarded against them because they're her "benefactor," and she knew how to trust people unlike JBZ.

So, Ming Yi's mom is Fairy Bo Yucen and not Bo Yulan.

In Ep25, when she got the recipe of Golden Millet Dream, Bo Yucen said her "only daughter" is the only remaining descendant of the Bo Clan now [23:14]. Meanwhile in Ep27, her Master only said "You are Fairy Bo's ..."

I've read in the comments before that Bo Yulan is the real mom of Ming Yi, but it turned out to be either just a bit confusion or maybe it was one of the changes in the novel.

Situ Ling... 😑 I know you're trying to help but .... treat her like a friend and your life will be better.
righttt? I usually can tolerate characters like these but it's so clear Ming Yi was getting uncomfortable, can't he read the room? 😭 his care and willingness to save her is so much appreciated, but he shouldn't force things to go his way.

I was also thinking, he might just be projecting his own needs to her.

since he was a kid, he had always been an outcast, bullied and helpless. but since Ming Yi is the only person who saw his value and henceforth served as his "light." now that Ming Yi needs help, he wanted to repay the her kindness by doing all he can to save her, because no one protected him ever since. to the point that he doesn't notice Ming Yi's feelings because he was absorbed with his own will and emotions.

not me using a bit of psychology here lmao 😅

I thought the revelation of her identity would be dramatic, since we're waiting for it for so long??? lmaooo I didn't expect it would be as simple as that, but still glad it turned out that way lol 'cause I don't want any more drama, at least we can move on now. 😅

I also looove how Ji Bo Zai didn't make a fuss over it, and that he just told Ming Yi that it's okay to be honest. Though, a part of me feels that that moment quite fell short, like I was so ready to feel the momentum but the scene was cut... Even the scene where Ming Yi is finally accepting Ji Bo Zai's advice, I believe her microexpression was well-delivered but it was also cut, thus it felt like there was no enough closure to that part. Or is it only me? What do y'all think about it?

Anyways, now we're so back to Ji Bo Zai's flirting era!!! I can't help but adore this duo so much, PLEASE GIVE THEM A VERY HAPPY ENDING!

I have almost finished the drama and I have to say that to me the Emperor of Jinxiu is the most fascinating character…
I'm still in Ep13, and I only find him a womanizer lol. 😭

he's her dad, only acting this way cz he knows she's about to find out truths about her self that will cause her…
But why didn't he dare show himself in Sunken Abyss, and only hid while watching JBZ and SL save MY all by themselves? He looked like an opponent for a while to me. 😭 I hope that was true then, or at least he can be anyone but her enemy.

I knew it. The Master is so suspicious, looks like he's only after the Golden Millet Dream. He could be the reason why Ming Yi is poisoned, or he's an ally of the perpetuator.

Take it from someone who has been in a similar mentality as MY/MX, it sucks. Particularly if you see that everyone…
This. In her perspective, pushing away people would be the "easy" (hardest) decision because that feels like the only way out. It might be frustrating for the viewers, but it's self-sabotage for her. That's why I don't get the hate, or maybe because I resonate with her character.

Okay, so allow me to share my thoughts regarding the latest episodes. Long post ahead.

As much as people were mad about MY hiding things from JBZ, the drama showed the reason very well, especially in Ep19-24. Did people just miss the clue or what? Don't get me wrong, I'm also stressed with the prolonged misunderstanding between our couple. The thing is, people need to minimize their expectations with one's character. You can't force these characters to only do what is "justifiable," they have flaws and THAT'S OKAY. It's not that I'm tolerating MY, but she still has room for character growth.

1. In front of JBZ's spirit well (Ep22), 27 was asking MY what the viewers are also pondering about, which means that the scriptwriter is very much aware of our concerns. Yet, they took that direction. Though it wasn't “ideal,” I think it was still aligned with the script. Keeping her royal identity a secret is just prioritizing Yaoguang Mountain’s interest above her own, but she focused too much on preparing for a worst-case scenario [which is not having any other option but to hide and JBZ probably hating her afterwards]. It shows that although she's clever, she's still a human—she can't possibly think of all possible options out there. After all, since she was a child, she has not had many options to begin with.

2. MY’s “pride” was evident in her actions. She thought letting JBZ hate her was better than letting him betray his master, which shows she rather take everything alone than letting JBZ judge and choose for himself. But it's because that's the form of love and protection she knew, as her love and protection for the Yaoguang Mountain also means she needs to carry the weight of winning the Qingyun Tournament every year to the point of beating herself up. It confirms her character and how her decision wasn't just purely because she's playing a hero. It was in line with her thought that she is also afraid to confront him [and herself even more] that she wants to hide her real inner demon (Ep19). When JBZ took care of MY in the forest (Ep24), she told [or more like, indirectly admitted] him that Ming Xian’s pride would not let anyone see him in his most vulnerable state. Though the context is different, it still proves what kind of person MX is, and she's self-aware.

Despite that, just like some of us, it doesn't mean that I'm still okay with everything that happened. I've been defending MY from the very start because I truly see the point of her actions. I was just quite disappointed in the latest episode, where she was able to tell ZT her real identity but can't even tell it to JBZ. I get that he is a representative warrior of Jixing Abyss [which makes him a direct political enemy of Yaoguang Mountain] and ZT is only a normal fairy, which means she can lower her guard too but she can't do that to JBZ yet. ☹️ Anyways, it was the scriptwriter's fault.

After confessing her identity to ZT, she was surprised that ZT wasn't mad but instead assured her, so I hope she can now gather up her courage to admit her fault to JBZ and apologize soon.

just my two cents about Ming Yi's actions, and character analysis

looking back at how she grew up abandoned by her parents and only wants her to win the qingyun tournament, she must have always thought that love is something that should be earned. she only receives love from 27, so the love between them was the only type of love she knew—between a master and a companion beast who is inherently loyal to her, not until she met Ji Bozai. her mother used to hide her own gender through a spell under the pretext of protecting the kingdom, so hiding things must have always been a strength to her and also her only way to protect herself. this might be the first time she ever felt bad about hiding things to someone, to him.

she also stated in the previous episodes (in her point of view) that aside from she fears to confront herself more (God forbid the girl already had a lot on her plate), it would be easy for Ji Bozai to forget her if that love will turned into hatred if she steal the Golden Millet Dream, and they can finally went on their own ways. she was prioritizing Yaoguang Mountain's interest from the start to end, because that was the way she was raised—her life's purpose. even if meeting Ji Bozai changed something in her and her perspectives, it wasn't easy to get away with how one is shaped throughout their lives. yes, her death is more painful to Ji Bozai, that is exactly why she is chosing the hard way. that's how i understood her character.

though, the only thing i'm not sure right now is that if she knew Ji Bozai still wasn't fully cured with the Heavenly Grief, because if she knew he was poisoned then she, i believe, won't try to steal the Golden Millet Dream anymore. she never saw him had repercussions from that poison, so i also hope he will tell her or she will find out somehow, and that's when we'll clearly see what kind of person she actually is.

OH MY GOODNESS, the way I screamed after Ming Yi unconsciously went to feel Ji Bozai's warmth! I swear he fought his inner desires so hard to have that self-control. 😂

Title Fated Hearts
The half-smiling and half-cunning face of Feng Sui Ge was so good, Chen Zhe Yuan's microexpressions really far exceeded my expectations. I initially thought he's quite soft (his facial features) for this role, but it turned out he suits so well as the First Prince.

Glad I can now binge-watch all the episodes, I waited for it to finish airing.

I hope Ming Yi would be able to think of the possibility that she could just ask for the Golden Millet Dream to Ji Bo Zai. So far, all she knew was that it was the only one in the world and she didn't know that it's not just a mere bottle—only Ji Bo Zai knew that it should be cultivated with, so stealing it from him might not be necessary. The thing is, we still don't get why Ming Yi refuses to ask for help to him, and what holds her back from doing so when they have already established a bond. Would her position as the Crown Prince (being Ming Xian) be affected, or because of other reasons that would implicate the Yaoguang Mountain? I hope they would clarify this as soon as possible because her scheme is taking time that things might only get worse for them both. 🥺
