the unexpected brotherhood between Crown Prince and Prince Changqing though 😩 I thought they will be sworn enemies fighting for our Crown Princess, so seeing them get closer is a delight for my heart 🥹
Maybe it’s just the pragmatic person in me but how can a cold-hearted female impersonate a male imperial officer…
Exact same problem in some other shows like LOTFG, that's why I also started dealing with it on my own. Because the moment I saw her, it was already obvious for me that she was a woman—then her voice further proved it. I just dealt with it by turning off my brain for a few sec lol, and let the second couple's chemistry take over.
I'm still at episodes.27 and the romance in this episode didn't impress me... the character development on ML…
I respect your opinion. For me, actually, I don't see a rough transition from "no emotion" to "with emotion" because from Ep20+, I already see the difference in the nuance of her acting—especially her eyes. For me, she already seemed like she cared since the second half of the show, there are just rational reasons as to why she will do something so she emphasized them. Or atleast, that's how I interpreted her actions. Is it only me? 😅
From pure acts of mutual benefits, to feeling for him (pity in a good way), to showing real compassion (when she grew a plant to help with his recovery), to the confused stage (when her mind rejects him but her body doesn't when they slept together), to finally accepting his advances towards her. The romance worked here, in my opinion.
I agree with you on the last part though, I don't like how we still don't have a clue who the real enemy was and there's definitely more suspicion towards the King and the Empress Dowager now. Though, I kind of don't want them to be the real antagonist because their relationship with the Crown Prince had been good so far. :((
Finally, Xi He is not rejecting Hua Yong's advances anymore. 🥹 EP27 was pure honey and butterflies! I can't get enough of the sweetness, a fruit indeed tastes better if it took its time to ripe. 😋
Bu Shu Lin is sooooo pretty as a woman. Fan Shuai Qi needs a bad ass wuxia role as a pretty FL lead plsssss 🙏…
my eyes were blessed! Bu Shu Lin's duality is peak, how can she be so handsome and pretty at the same time?! and the way Cui Jin Bai look at her after seeing her in a hanfu omg 😭
its ok, honestly its just a cliche story but thta doesnt mean it cant be good, only thing that was really annoying…
It can indeed be frustrating sometimes, though for me, it's fine here. I kind of expected that nothing will happen since there's just two episodes in. To each their own, I guess.
It's also silly and dumb how Yeo Ri kept on avoiding the hand contact to the point of letting herself fall to the water 😆 but it also shows her selflessness.
Two episodes in and the comedy really works here. We are yet to see if horror and romance will be mixed well together. So far, I'm enjoying the light atmosphere but I hope that the fun parts won't overshadow the scary ones.
This movie really mixed romance, comedy and horror genres well, there was not a dull moment for me. The only thing that bothered me was how Jo Gu had a girlfriend, and still fell for Yu Ri. Even though it looks like the girlfriend nd him don't have feelings for each other, it's still improper—they could've avoided this plot. 🥲 8/10
When Kim Mu Yeol and Kang Ha Neul's face were mixed together, they create Lee Seung Gi. Back then, I legit thought the poster was him and got confused for a few seconds. 😅
Cui Jin Bai, oh Cui Jin Bai. Your tactics are becoming better and better! Man's so resourceful he found a way to live in and girl can't do anything about it. 😆
Why did she come back for Prince Xin? 😭 I mean I know that she's in fact considerate despite her calculating personality but this is the first time I've ever wanted Shen Xi He to act a lot more colder to someone, since it was him who lured her into his trap anyways. I feel sorry for Prince Xin but that was a different story. 😭😭😭
Wait, I was suddenly lost in Ep15. Are Duke of Ying and Duke of Xie friends? One moment, they were only talking about how Duke of Ying was behind the posisoning but he is nowhere to be found and decided to look for him. The second after, Duke of Xie was suddenly involved and already concluded that the other duke is in his manor.
Is it me who missed something??? The plot missed a detail because of the editing. I like that it was fast-paced but I don't want the story to be incomplete.
How I wish I get the hype. As much as I wanted to finish it, I feel disconnected with the first 10 episodes. I love the main leads, but I'm not sure what's wrong for me either. I started watching last 2021, and picked it up again on 2023 and 2025, but I'm still confused most of the time that I can't remember what I have watched (even when I repeated watching from the beginning). Maybe the time interval of when I picked it up again also affected my watching experience. I may give it a try again this year, I really wanted to support my Zhan Zhan and Yi Bo by watching this series. 🥺
