After finishing the drama, my mind is still hanging on it... I enjoyed almost every bit of it. The stories of each person were truly a roller-coaster journey of life. I initially thought the ending would be a mess because of some comments, but it's okay because I actually love how it ended! Though I would say it was not the best the writer could possibly do, but it still lived up to my expectations.
With that, there is only one question remaining in my head, and that is: What is actually the unfinished business that Madam Li has in Bianjing? I thought it would be addressed properly later on, I mean, it would be explicitly revealed. But if the drama is just telling that the matters she wanted to be resolved in Bianjing is only letting her daughters marry, then I am a bit disappointed because it looks like they made it quite a mystery at first (though it doesn't change the fact that I love the series). Or, did everyone forget it was a part of the plot? Nǐ mén, what are your thoughts on this?
I am confused as to why this is on airing again. It says that it aired last February 2023, yet Ep9 would be released 50 days from now. Can someone explain?
The scene where Seulgi jumped / is thrown off in a sea-like underwater but still tries to study is really a great metaphor of how pressuring studying was in South Korea. It was as if even she's in the verge of death, she would still choose to spend those times studying because of the "rewards" of it that she have never experienced in the past. Or, even if she is just pressured to study to the point she can't breathe (since she's under water), nothing would stop her from wanting to taste the sweetness of being treated "right" due to a high rank in school. It implies some possible meanings that unveils the reality of a person wanting to reach the top in order to escape the prison-like life where they had been living all their life.
I first fell in love with Xiang Han Zhi in her drama Forever Love. It is one of the rare youth c-dramas I've ever liked. She is a sweet, strong FL in the aforementioned drama in my opinion, and even here. I believe she already has a stable personality, but I still wanted to see a character development for her.
I first saw Deng Wei in Till the End of the Moon, and absolutely stunned with his looks and his talent in acting. I can only remember that his character there is a righteous one, but I am more enjoying how his character here is multifaceted + and never a righteous one in the first place.
So far, there is not a single boring moment for me. I love how that showed the past in the initial episodes, because it clarified everything right before the story went on 18 years later - or else, I would've gone crazy thinking about it for the whole time I am watching the series (like in LAR 😭).
Wait, so... EP9 is basically telling us that the Founder of Eternal Sect is Dun Tian - who in synopsis, is possibly the person behind that mask? The unknowingly demonic cultivator who is the reason why SYS had to be the demonic child? I bet he is also the one who hurt MQG in the Netherworld which made her die faster in the Eternal's formation. No wonder how he also have those inner monologues, which I didn't understand in the beginning. It's always the "righteous" people who is praised by everyone that do the most heinous things ever for personal gains.
Not XRR unconsciously confessing everything to SYS about how she sees him (his appearance), so cuteee! I mean, who won't fall for our master's beauty, right? I'm giggling! AAAAA
I'm enjoying the first few episodes so far! I initially thought it would be a typical xianxia drama, but it actually has more flavor and I'm in for the silly master-disciple relationship!
Were there still people who downrates this drama? 8.1 seems too low for it, considering the comments were more positive than negative, it have been 8.1 ever since but why does the rating not change? This drama deserves at least 8.5!
I loveee how SHZ's eyebrows became like ( \ / ) when he saw HD trying to be a matchmaker for Master Qiao and Qiong Nu, bro was so mesmerized with her that he misinterpreted the way she talked to Master Qiao. So cute! 🥹 Gēge, have we seen the same scenario? That scene caught me, lmao 😭
With all honesty, I really do not like cliche amnesia trope - but why do I find it interesting here? There have been too many misunderstandings in Shou Hua's arc, so I initially thought that the drama maybe won't make it hard for us - and I'm glad it turned out to be what I expected!
I knew that even though Hao De is still immature (a kid that is well taken care of), she would not take advantage of her husband's situation. She was presented as an honest girl from the very start, so getting away with her personality just because of an "opportunity" (Hui Zhao's amnesia) that would just create more misunderstandings in the future (which is the reason why I don't like amnesia tropes) just like other dramas out there would make her character inconsistent. Thankfully, it didn't happen. I'm loving the way their story is going so far.
This is so new to me, that I find this drama quite odd. It's not bad or boring, it's actually so good - but JCY only seem like a corrupt official so far. It's odd in some way, for us to have a corrupt ML, but I want to put my faith on him. I believe there's more into his character, it's just that it's quite a pain to see him act like this in the first few episodes.
I was finally able to watch this drama after a few months of hesitation. It was a decent watch for a series based on Wattpad, I'd say. I screamed, laughed, cried, and felt many emotions along with the characters. I loved it for being it.
The way those maids said "Young Master" cringes me, but I don't mind cuz it's Yuri and Jay-jay on the screen! The way Yuri just looked at Jay-jay as she is fascinated with the view outside his hotel room... while they are wearing the same long sleeves and pants (like some couple kind of attire)! AHHH!
Earlier, I was happy seeing that there are 7 extra episodes that came out today alongside the last episodes... but totally forgot what it means. It means that MM will be leaving us now. 😭 I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOO HAPPY, I will surely miss the nights I spent with MM! I am still reluctant to leave them :< It was a splendid journey with MM, thank you to all those people behind the creation of this masterpiece! ❤️🔥
The last few episodes tied the knots so well, I love how it has a well-pacing. I also can't help but admireee all the beautiful sceneries and cinematography, the superb acting (and actors), and the creative plot in this drama. Moonlight Mystique is truly remarkable!
