It has an open ending and we patiently waiting for an official announcement for season 2... They end up together, sort of... Nevertheless, it's a great watch, personally, I can't recommend it enough ☺️

An official announcement is what I’m hoping for. Just give me that and I could wait even more than a year. Of course, it wouldn’t be ideal for me either to wait that long, but as long as we get an official confirmation, I’ll be completely over the moon and will patiently wait for our boys 🙏

I get you completely. I can’t really enjoy other series the same way either when I get hooked on something. And right now, even though I’m watching other BLs, and there’s one I’ve been waiting for ages that’s really well made and totally my taste, I still can’t fully enjoy it because I’m stuck on our boys here 🥹

And like you said, I don’t even know if I want to move on from it, at least not yet. So yeah, it’s probably better to watch it later, once some time has passed, and you’ve kind of detached from Sammy’s. Only then will you really be able to enjoy it and appreciate it properly. I haven’t watched Ossan’s Love, but I’ll definitely add it to my list. I’ll probably get to it at some point. I’ve heard from a few people that it’s really good.

Still, Mo Ran actually has a redemption arc while Lu Feng doesn’t. Mo Ran’s story is about becoming a better person and facing the consequences of his actions. With Lu Feng, the story doesn’t really try to make him redeem himself. He's just fucked up till the end 😅

This is one of the very few times where I actually like the series more than the novel, at least for now. I really like that they toned the characters down a bit because it makes it easier for me to accept them together. I also really like the small changes they made to Yi Chen’s character because they make him much more likable to me. In the novel I honestly couldn’t bring myself to like any of the characters. Here he doesn’t feel as pathetic and helpless as he did in the novel.
