lol the part where u realized it 55eps instead of 45 xD Yeah I agree on chemistry part! Liking both of them & loving costume dramas wasnt enough for me.. Let alone their characters as individuals. 'drama/slice of life' part was missing for me I guess.

BUT I know I didnt drop these serıes, I even rewatched most of them more than once!) Most recent ones are 1-Blooming (lighthearted comedy not mystery. BUT its one of the most recent one I finished watching and I still cant move on because story & side stories a lot like cases were really interesting with funny characters and original details )
2-Warm on a Cold Night (reallly interesting worl build and unique characters esp lead guy's background BUT/YET sadly writer never tries to tell more to viewers I dont know why?! Im still quite frustrated how they waste such original idea and all. Worthy to watch though. Both leads are from my faves it was a joy to watch them as pairing in a costume serie with this kind of concept/story)
old faves; -Love in Between(this one has a special place in my heart x'D I dont know how to explain it but its like you will either love it or dislike it? Im still not over it I even went and read the machine translated chinese novel cause of it...IF you dont mind lead males being brainy instead of having muscles while lead girl is martial artist than you probably will like it.) -Bloody Romance (cant be called mystery but whole plot and stories leads went after are so original and interesting. been years since l first saw but l still remember with such pretty haunting soundtracks!)
-Young Blood 1&2 (I cant remember their cases actually but I remember really loving season 1 mostly because of lead couple's characters<3 Played by my faves especıally Zhou YuTong! I remember waiting for producer's promise for season 2 for years. Thıs year we got S2 but I still didnt watched it XD I need to rewatch S1 first to remember characters's story & background...)
-An Oriental Odyssey (this was one hell of a wild ride, loved both leads I even went to read google translate novel for them...) The Moon Brightens for You(similar to Love in Between but a lot more lighthearted vibe.loved both my faves as a couple with these characters<3 )
The Advisors Alliance (2017) this one wasnt 'mystery' genre but political instead.Its deserve a mention at this part because lead guy character Sima Yi's brilliant scheming mind! I still remember being ''no way?! for real... SERIOUSLYYYY?!'' a lot of times while watching xD Quite serious and slice of life. a lot more mature than other serıes I wrote here...
--- end with costume dramas. Now I look back at my list I guess Im not that into to 'mystery-solving cases' in dramas ehh xD... As modern I can only remember;
-When a Snail Falls in Love ( This was and is one of my faves since the day I finished watching it. I also read the novel but liked drama better because the casting for lead couple! the chemistry and acting was heartfelt with them being those lead characters<3 novel was way too robotic. If you end up liking this they are also a couple in another serie called 'Ode to Joy 1 & 2 btw!)

Made it until 15-20 eps and then put it on hold again... I cant feel interested in their cases somehow? There were some other series with workıng case & romance scenes side by side which I liked while watching but something is missing with this...

I have to say Im kind of surprised by casting news lately in Kdramas. The seniority is quite different between leads in some series not only this one. Im not saying they should be judge in seniority but sometimes it feels odd to watch IF you are biased on the senior actor/or/actress... Just like some noona romance castings.. Im kind of used of Centertainment ın recent years maybe thats why its even more obvıous.
ps: WHY most of actor's fans started lynching another person who doesnt agree with their decision tho? Since when we are only allowed to talk and write same things in mydramalist?

They usually do thıs kınd of ending for most melodramas ın Kdramas but this time it just fit their story & characters in my opinion. Just like it fit in 'Record of Youth'... I wanted to give 9 but giving 8 because SERIOUSLY I needed more screen time for lead pairing even while they were just sitting around and 'being' it felt so nice and as if they were progressing? I binged first 5 episodes. I HAVE NEVER EVER seen a 'youth' Cdrama having so many scheming,twisted & complicated characters before! It feels as if Im already watching a palace/harem costume serie RİGHT FROM START... like is this for real ... how old are they to be like that! not even college ages! edit: done with it. Im sincerely sorry for myself because I thought this would be worth to waste my precious life and time. First half was sick, middle part gave me hope for latter part but after 3 or so eps they dragged without progressing anything on any character.Right before ending they add more nonsense amnesia let alone progressing.Right before last mınute of serıe they add a get together and kiss because they were finishing it... Will be careful to check this screen writer in future thats for sure!

Tried this more than 3 times because I just adore Tian Xi Wei since I first watched her in costume series but dropped every single time. I was able to watch until ep 10 or so with 2x speed but writing is just... instead of wasting my time I would try a new serie instead...
