Yes. She drugged his food so that she could create that alibi of taking him to hospital. She does this quite frequently to her son everytime she committs some crime. She has also trained him to lie and he is a masterful liar.

I would still hold onto the theory that JB is not the killer. Her best friend had something weird going on with the school teacher (maybe because she knew him as she also lived in SH's house).
SH must have learnt about JB, her weirdness, her past, her equation with Mom somehow from friend SY. They must have planned the murder, framing of JB, and blackmailing mom.
JB prepared thoroughly to track the real killer + save herself from eventual suspicion that will come her way.

Question is, who do we know who is a PLANNER?
and couple of things i am genuinely intrigued about is 1. FL's school boy friend whose name is exactly the same as dead friend and who transferred only a year ago and became kind of best friends with FL... if he is just an NPC.. that would be such a waste.. then why give him the same name???
2. Like i said, who all are planners
3. Male investigator - what all does he know.. does he not seek revenge for his dead brother, did he not catch any anomalies in the boy when he spent one on one time with him (and got the location of LCH)
