Your whole stupid pitch is based on LGBTQ literature under attack and homophobia whereas fact of the matter is that literature and creative content is seeing a rise, adaptation of art is not a cause of rebellion everytime and most definitely not in this case, and homophobia is decreasing over time...

Things don't have to be complicated everytime. Commercial success will always be a crucial reason in any business's success. Sure, at times it would be for some other reason and not just commercial.

Has BL content gone down in Korea? NO! It has become a genre in itself and you can see so many asian countries doling out regular BL content. If some of the audience of this show also watches BLs then you are anyways not a phobic person. If you don't or do watch this show, but support people in their freedom of choice in real life then you are a supporter and not a phobic person.

My guess is, that guy's death got covered and ML was made to switch school as he was the only one who made noise about it. Brother/family member of the dead guy (likely the younger cop) is out for revenge... and using ML to get things done... so he needs to make sure that ML is totally under his control to drive the case as it is..
