i had high expectations but after watching it i have to say that its very overrated

it's sad how people don't understand the point of this drama. record of youth deserves better

I really find this K-drama interesting. Even though it has some flaws like all the couples lack chemistry, the main plot about their careers is unique. The thing I like the most about it is that it shows how the movie industry in South Korea really works like the politics and the sabotages some actors could have from their companies, which leaves me to believe that so many actors including Park Bogum and Sodam could really relate to this Kdrama bc maybe they experienced those too.

all the things you mentioned arent the main point of the story though. the drama mostly revolves around a struggling model/actor who suddenly rises to fame despite all odds and how he and the people around him deal with it. i don't really remember any drama talking about how the industry itself works and what actor have to deal with in the industry. the story between jeongha, hyejun and haehyo isnt really the main focus and its not a typical "love triangle" since jeongha hasn't shown any romantic interes in haehyo at all. the drama does have its cliches like most dramas but I wouldnt say its full of cliches. its pretty decent with some interesting and unique storylines like the story of hyejun and his grandfather who despite his age fulfilled his dream to become a model. i understand if some people dont like it but some of the criticms i see on it seems unfair.

About the cliché, can you mention one kdrama that had the same plot? I cant think of any even tho i watch a lot of kdramas

why cant changwook play on better kdramas he deserves so much better

Nara's character deserves more screentime tbh how is she the main character when she appears like a support role smh

this was a very good drama, its not perfect i know but its a really special drama. i know everyone here criticizes this drama but its bc this is a really different one and its really worth watching if you ask me

Can you also write the other side of the story that Top is unconscious and had a depression for a long time and he is still in the hospital also he was blearily breathing. This article is so stupid and people will judge him so much for this. #STAYSTRONGTOP

We all can agree in one fact that we only watched it because of the actors. That's why I didn't take this drama seriously. It was cute and fun to watch
