You're free to like and watch as you wish, of course, but this attitude is why Korean BL is dying: lack of standards.…
What part of "You're free to like and watch as you wish, of course..." did you not understand?

Perhaps you're just tired and bored with the BL-watching choices you're making. Don't project that onto everyone else who's just out here having standards. Did you know you can have standards and still have loads of fun? It's true!

Do you mean to imply that the lower your standards, the more "fun" you have? If so, great! Live it! Be it! Enjoy it. No one told you not to do so, and I specifically told you TO do so. Strange.

It has nothing to do with Kpop. Being a good person is not easy at all, actually, it's one of the hardest thing…
I'm sorry you can't comprehend well-written comments. However, that's not my problem.

How desperate of you to bring up Donald Trump. Cuts no ice with me, sister-woman. I didn't vote for the Orange Turd and I hate him and everything he does. I'm guessing wherever you live is a bleeding shithole country, if only because you live there.

Your other insults directed at the U.S. are common, coming from people around the world, such as yourself, who have inferiority complexes toward America. I get it. The U.S. has been the richest economy and most dominant political force world-wide since WW2, nearly 80 years ago. Your "butthurt" about that isn't my problem, either.

"Honeyboo, I met with her multiple times in the past 20 years since I'm a fan of her. I think I know her better than you."

hahahahahahahahahahaha...hoo boy, thanks for the laughs. So your multiple, deep and meaningful chats across an autograph table at fan meets where you slobbered your fangurl worship at your idol, shrieked, and waved your light sticks have made the two of you great friends and gifted you great insight into her character and private life, eh?

Pardon me for a second: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

The most revealing thing about your nonsense here is that I have not once disparaged this woman or claimed to know anything about her. My reference to the possibility that she eats babies, but no one knows because the paps haven't caught her doing it yet, is over your head. Exaggeration and hyperbole are above your pay grade. Going forward, I'll adjust my writing to compensate for that.

Send me a pic of your bedroom decorated in fangurl crap, preferably with you in the foreground with your light sticks and fan hat, making heart signs for the camera. Thanks in advance.

I don't get the hate for love triangles. Is it that they're so over-done?
I'm sorry that bothers you so much. :)
Love triangles have been a staple of drama of all kinds for thousands of years. They only annoy me when they are poorly written, as is this one. None of the "interruptions and cockblocking" going on here feels organic or real; just crammed into the script to get us to whatever clunky, awkward plot point is next.

I'd have dropped this a couple episodes back except that my BL watchlist is bare and I'm desperate. :) I find the guy with Pillow Lips to be pretty, so I look at him a lot. :D

"Also if they actually communicated, this show will end in 1 episode of 30mins. "It is not the lack of communication…
What's with your over-the-top defense of the indefensible here?

I didn't watch this lame show FOR the cute boys. I only ended up sticking with it to look AT the boys because everything else about this show is lame..."y'all." I made this clear in my post above. Work on English comprehension.

But yeah, after reading your comment, I see now that you're right: this is a great work of art.

Your rant is non-responsive to anything I wrote so I'll stop. I have no idea what the hell you're on about, anyway. "Character growth..." lol

Outstanding acting (except for the warden), especially from Nat Kitcharit (I kept thinking I recognized him from somewhere; it was ITSAY and IPYTM); all six mains were excellent, mostly awesome direction; some questionable plot implausibilities; 99% amazing fight choreo; off the charts cinematography/sets/makeup/overall gritty realism.

This is far better than expected; I've not had great experiences with Thai cinema in general, but this is good, especially if you're a fan of well-done prison flicks. Hated to see things go down the way they did for Fluke, but the truth is this is far more the reality than the exception in such situations. The actor brought depth and authenticity to what could easily have been a cliche role. Kind of pissed me off how Phueak seemed to blow him off and forget him after they were separated...

I'll have to check out these "4 Kings" flicks. Might not be my thing but after seeing this, they're worth a look.

8.5/10 Points off are for implausibilities and a few lame plot points, such as asking us to see the warden as suddenly a decent person near the end. wtf was that?

I think my favorite part thus far, is when they were taking the thousands of pics together. It was nice to see…
Not to be the usual party pooper that I am, but haven't we seen the "let's go shopping, try on silly hats/glasses/other crap in junk shops, laugh wildly while taking endless selfies of each other, making heart-fingers, V-fingers and all the usual poses, laugh wildly some more as if something is wildly funny, buy junk food at a convenience store, blah blah blah" thing about 356 times before in 356 other shows?

Yesss that title is so on point - “SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT in both of their head!” 😂 It's giving chaotic energy…
You're free to like and watch as you wish, of course, but this attitude is why Korean BL is dying: lack of standards. Why write anything interesting or original, when the same old, same old keeps a certain class of viewers coming back for more each time around?

both this and business as usual is killing me with all these miscommunication and misunderstandings. i hate hate…
Most dramas and comedies throughout history are based on miscommunication and misunderstandings. I realized a while back it's not the tropes I hate, it's the bad, lazy writing in which they are wrapped that I hate.

Episode 4:

Bad...really bad.

The two primary elements of this plot are:
Unrequited love.
Fear.

Those elements feed:
1. Lack of communication.
2. Miscommunication.
3. Refusal to communicate.
4. Lack of understanding.
5. Misunderstanding.
6. Refusal to understand.

Numbers 1, 2, 4, & 5 have been used as part of successful dramatic/comedic writing for thousands of years. If you think about it, most of our human problems are caused by some combination of those factors.

But when you attempt to build sympathetic characters, especially a lead character around who everything else circulates, out of numbers 3/refusal to communicate and 6/refusal to understand, you end up with a shit show like this one.

I have zero sympathy for a character who I see deliberately choosing to NOT communicate when all he has to do is move his lips and utter the words, in scene after scene after scene.
I have zero sympathy for the same character when I see him choosing to NOT understand because that's the way the script is written, which is poorly, and for no other reason apparent in the plot.

Good writers come up with plausible reasons why a character CAN'T communicate or CAN'T understand. This show was not written by good writers.

I have lost all sympathy for the MC because I see him repeatedly standing there with that blank look on his face, refusing to do or say...anything. He doesn't speak, he lies, he obfuscates, he walks away, he tells the guy he won't talk to him but doesn't truly back that up, etc. He is the epitome of a spineless wimp. Unfortunately, rather than being a distracting side character, he is the center of attention. This does not work.

Add to all of the above, blatantly stupid, cop-out scene cuts, and yeah, it's a shit show.
One character wakes up with the other character's mouth half an inch from his, the smoocher backs off and looks back blankly, they stare at each other blankly, cut to...next scene and they're out on a walk as though that thing we just saw, to which episode 3 built as a cliffhanger to lead us into episode 4, never happened. Never mind the endless lips-toward-lips slo-mo bit...that's standard BL crap, but all together, it's a sad mess.

Too bad...like a lot of Korean BLs of late, this is turning out to be a throwaway no one will remember ten minutes after episode 6.

The amount of comments I’ve seen complaining about the 2 main characters lacking ‘communication’ is unbelievable.…
"Also if they actually communicated, this show will end in 1 episode of 30mins. "

It is not the lack of communication that is the problem. The plots of zillions, maybe most, dramas/comedies throughout history have been based on various forms of miscommunication of one kind or another, with varying degrees of success.

The problem with this show is that the lack of communication is poorly written in the EXTREME. The script/dialogue/scenes/execution/direction/acting are embarrassingly bad. Everything is done deliberately and for no other reason than that miscommunication/misunderstandings need to continue to happen. There is no feeling of happenstance, convincing coincidence, believable anything; just rote miscommunication tropes one after the other. It's embarrassing and not entertaining.

The actors deserved far better than they got from the screenwriters and the director. I have continued to watch because the actors are cute and there is NOTHING else on my BL watchlist right now. Even so, I almost stopped halfway through ep. 4 because it has become painfully slow, predictable, and tedious.

You are free to enjoy the show and keep watching. But if you truly don't get why commenters are mocking the miscommunication tropes, you're not paying attention.

"... and not everyone is Kim Soohyun."

THIS tells me all I need to know about your mindset, which is that of a naive fanchild. As I've said what needs saying to you above, and have ceased wasting my time arguing with Killer Knetz Klowns lacking in reading comprehension, off you go.

Try not to believe everything you read on Koreaboo and Dispatch.

Hi Killer Knetz Klown.

Well done.
It's a quiet film. Not much happens. But what does happen feels real and evokes a feeling and mood I spent far too much of my life experiencing over and over again.

"...needs to shove it down others' throats." lol
What a naked Freudian slip on your part. Alas, no matter how fervently you wish it, I'll not be shoving anything of mine down your bilious throat, Knetz.

Aside from that, is someone forcing you to read my comments? No? You're doing it on your own? And you haven't blocked me either? That's revealing.

The chip on your shoulder and the burdensome grudge you carry towards me for being brighter than you gives me immense pleasure. I'm guessing you've recently been batted down here on MDL for slandering actors, also. That must be frustrating for you. I'm glad.

The combined weight of all that resentment and self-hatred will break you one day. Knowing that has brightened my evening.
