It was not a relationship; it was an OBSESSION. That's the point. He was suffering from major PTSD, on meds, and…
Please quote me where I said you being unimpressed with this film "bothers" me. Thanks. I'm not impressed with the movie either. It's weird how so many MDLers make assumptions about other commenters based on their own insecurities

The couple's interaction being more of an obsession than anything else was NOT "obvious" to you or you would have worded your original comment differently.

Sigh...two of the best-ever Korean actors together and I'm sadly underwhelmed. :P

I respect Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan a great deal, and both are sensational in these parts. However, the plot is so full of absurd improbabilities, impossibilities, convenient coincidences, and many other cliche near-escapes and last-second rescues throughout, that I was pulled out of it repeatedly. I finally gave up and watched the last third for the thrill of two massively talented craftsmen working their magic on screen.

KKH is fascinating and entertaining to watch fill a character with specific tics, mannerisms, and nuances that make the people he portrays feel REAL. Also, he plays bitchy/butch off each other but together, like no one else I've seen. He's going to be a big star.

LJH does his usual fantastic work here, but the material is far beneath him.

I wish the two of them had pooled their influence as known names to force corrections to all the script silliness that made it impossible to take seriously. How many machine guns firing at once in a straight line at two guys running directly ahead of them for minutes on end, does it take before someone takes a bullet? lol Not nearly as many as we're asked to believe here. And that's just ONE implausible. There are hundreds more.

7/10 because it stars LJH and KKH. Otherwise, 5/10.

I just realized there's an actor with amazing acting skills named Koo Kyoo Hwan. He delivers an outstanding performance…
Yup. He is an up and comer. One of the best Korean actors I've seen. Check out the series "D.P." on Netflix, or elsewhere online, two seasons. It is excellent.

Ep 8:

So because his mother "collapsed," he went back in the closet, later married a woman whose life he will ruin, had a kid, and will spend the rest of his life hooking up anonymously on Grindr behind her back...got it. Thing is, he's far too decent a person to do that to a woman; thus I don't buy that ending at all.

Futoshi's ending was much better and more realistic, and in keeping with Japanese BL conventions, a tad bittersweet. Did anyone else catch that fake-ass kiss on the cheek near the end? His lips did not even touch Futoshi's face. These weird-ass BL actors and directors who keep making BLs despite being uncomfortable with normal displays of affection are annoying af.

Good parts. Lame parts. OK parts. Not nearly as crazy-good as it could have been.

It was a shock that he decided to murder his lover just because he ignored him in front of his fiance and parents…
My "temper" is just fine. It's just that you've lost the argument so accusations of anger, emotionalism, hysteria, etc. is all you've got left. :D

If you blocked me why am I able to write you?

Everyone here is forgetting the dude had severe psychological symptoms as a result of PTSD when the movie began…
Where did I say "sex addiction and lust are not two different things?" You mistook my meaning. I meant to say that lust is an element of sex addiction, not that they are the same thing separately.

Another MDL trait is that when commenters run out of ways to justify what they wrote, they accuse the other commenter of being "emotional" or "angry" or "not having a life," whatever. Cuts no ice with me.

You sound super emotional in this last reply. Please calm yourself if you choose to reply again.

Please read my other reply above. I wrote that if all American men were jailed, the murder rate would go down by 99%, and that's damn near true.

But what you and White Rose seem to suggest only supports MY opinion that what drove Su Min to attempt to have the jerk killed was not his love for him, it was his RAGE. I don't know where you live but if you have a dominant media culture driving the idea these murders come out of "love," your country is very sick. I am NOT "justifying" what Su Min did, I am explaining his motivations, which is NOT the same as condoning them.

And yes, in this case I do believe that Su Min loves the jerk. He loves him very much. He also hated him for what he was doing, and allowed his rage to overcome that love. People can and do hold multiple, even contradictory feelings simultaneously. This story has layers on layers. It's too bad you missed them.

Again, and this is another habit on MDL, portraying a horrible action or choice is a film is not automatically condoning it or approving of it in some way. Su Min will have all kinds of problems to clean up after this episode. And the boyfriend will help him, testify for him, and if he goes to jail for a while, he will wait for him. That is what the crotch grab is all about and why they both smile at the ridiculousness of it all.

People are complicated.

OK, as to all your insults and psychiatric evaluations, kiss my a**. If I bring anger and paranoia here, it can also be said that you bring stupidity.
With that out of the way, you seem to have forgotten the car crashed into an electrical pole. So you are saying the cop would think the dudes in the car crashed the car into the pole in full view on the side of the road to make out or f**k. hahahahahahaha

This film is not about YOU and what YOU would do. It is about the characters in the movie and the choices THEY made. It is not LOVE that drove Lee Su Min to try to have Song Jae Min murdered; it was betrayal and RAGE that overtook his better angels.

This happens all the time, and it is almost always men. They feel wronged when a lover dumps them and that leads to murder all too often. If all American men were imprisoned for a month, the murder rate would go down 99%.

This is a mistake I see over and over here on MDL. People say "oh, I would never do that...blah blah blah." OK fine, the movie isn't about you and you choices.

OK, I'll try: What is it, precisely, about the FL you don't like? You have every right to dislike her, but your above comment begs this question. If you posted the comment as an exercise in trolling, that's fine too.

Far weirder shit goes down every day all over the world than ever makes it into movies. There are far weirder people all over the world than perhaps you'd ever imagine.

Despite some bad acting here and there and a low budget, I found this film to be creatively, stylishly produced, and nicely straightforward about its subject matter. There is one directorial/editing choice about halfway in that I would have made differently, but it didn't wreck the watch for me.

I was moved to tears at several points. The acting from the MC is effective and moving. That from the rest of the cast is...spotty but not enough so to get in the way of the film's message. Overall, this makes a powerful anti-drug statement without ever seeming preachy.

Well done.
Recommended.
8/10 (I'm giving it a break because it's far better than it has a right to be, given budget limitations.)

It is... well, it may feel out of place, but yes, indeed, this is produces by a pxxnographic company and director,…
Actually, it doesn't make any sense at all. Despite some bad acting here and there, and an obviously low budget, I found this film to be creatively, stylishly produced and nicely straightforward about its subject matter.

Just because the company makes porno films doesn't mean there's some requirement that a porn scene be stuck into any non-porn film it makes. I think it was a bad directorial choice, as the same effect could have been produced without throwing me completely out of the story, as did the technique used.

this is real porn. the person with wings tattoo is actually porn actor.
lol If you think this is "real porn," you are watching really bad porn. Nauriya.

Out of 61 minutes, this film contains about 40 seconds of "real porn." My problem with that is not that it's "offensive," but that it distracts from the plot and brutally interrupts the storytelling to that point. It's as if a snippet of poorly-made gay porn somehow inserted itself into the finished product.

Are you a fan of the wings-tattooed porn star and recognized him from your online fap sessions?

Yeah I thought the same until ep 9 where it became undeniable they might not feel comfortable kissing, not even…
Wasn't it in ep 7 that we got a full-on, for-real smooch that was significantly more than the usual Chinese, dead fish stuff? It was either 7 or 8. Either way, I noticed too that they seemed to pull back a bit in 9.

It was a shock that he decided to murder his lover just because he ignored him in front of his fiance and parents…
lol...wtf? Are you serious? A police officer is going to walk away from two badly injured people in a wrecked car he just found because one of them grabbed the other's crotch? Where do you live that a cop would do such a thing?

Pro tip: The crotch grab is a tender gesture of forgiveness, a sign of affection, and a signal that he can't wait for the two of them to get back in the sack. It's sweet, crazy, and hilarious.

And what makes you think they are "going to die?" Neither one is fatally injured. What you're actually doing here is projecting your typical, MDL, self-righteous, black/white sense of morality onto a movie ending that is the opposite of what you are pretending you see on the screen.

The cops is not going to walk away. The cop is going to call an ambulance and a tow truck. There will be hospitalizations and recovery, followed by the lovers having to come up with some story to cover for what really went down. Then they will run away together and have a great gay life.

This movie wasn't made for people like you. Forget you ever saw it.
