That ending wasn't necessary! They almost overcame their traumatic experience by healing each other through passionate…
You are deluded. I am sympathetic in the extreme to the colonel as he was not in control of his senses from the beginning, due to PTSD, meds, and alcohol, but that was NOT love, that was...wait for it...an obsession. Did you miss the title of the movie? OBSESSED, not "In Love." The woman was mousy and they knew nothing of each other outside of bed and dancing.
I don’t know why people are complaining when this is just a soft corn lmao. The plot is not meant to written…
BS. The main focus is on the "scenes" for YOU, not grownups. In this over 2-hour movie, there are about 15 minutes of sex. If the "soft core porn" movies you've seen are like this, you haven't seen any.
Yes, some pussies can send you crazy. It's a fact that lust is more destructive than love. But many can't tell…
Everyone here is forgetting the dude had severe psychological symptoms as a result of PTSD when the movie began and was on medication for same. He was not in his right mind from the beginning. If you missed that, you missed the point, people.
SSH's body is beautiful indeed, but two highly unrealistic details threw me off: How does one stay THAT gym-built without ever going to the gym? How does he maintain a full-body tan without hitting the tanning salon or beach? And then there's the smoking and the booze...it would have been much more effective if we'd been shown a body that was until recently in that kind of shape but is beginning to deteriorate from alcohol/nicotine abuse and lack of exercise due to depression/anxiety/etc.
Where do I even start?Recently I decided to check out the old classics cos there is no ways am going to seat through…
sigh...you completely ignore what we were shown near the beginning of this flick...the colonel is having serious psychological problems already then as a result of PTSD, which back in 1969 was not even a recognized diagnosis. Were you asleep during the doctor's office scene? He and the doc discussed his panic attacks, nightmares, anxiety, etc. He was already then on medication for his symptoms. He was specifically NOT to drink alcohol with his meds. He did so anyway because his anxiety overwhelmed the meds; a dangerous combination.
THEN he met this woman (I agree she was not all that but to me that's the fault of the writing and direction) and irrationally to his besieged mind, falling head over heels into an imaginary, insanely intense "love" was the perfect escape. So there he went.
This dude was not in control of himself, and that led to all that followed. You missed 2/3 of what was going on. The plot was lost on you. Perhaps you were too focused on the "pubes."
While watching, all I could think was, "I feel so bad for his wife." I know people can't control their hearts,…
"I think I realized that I hate people who cheat."
Another typical, clueless MDLer comment. You have no idea how many of the people you know, assuming you know some, have had extramarital relationships It has happened since the beginning of time and is happening as we speak and will happen again a zillion times in the future. You "hate" all those people?
Your pretense that everyone who fails to be perfect and succumbs to their baser human nature, is worthy of "hatred" is beyond immature and self-righteous.
Eighteen minutes in, I have to pause to say....Song Seung Heon is one of the handsomest men I've laid eyes on. Holy s**t. I've been watching Korean flicks for four years. How have I not stumbled across this demigod before? :P
Too realistic. Again... because of "Happy of the End", "Love in the Big City" and "Let Free of the Curse of Taekwando"…
lol Oh gosh, you didn't have to do that! Although I believe what I've said here to be true, for the most part I was teasing with the rest. :) Have a great day!
Can you name some series better than this that has aired this year or is airing right now?
It's too early for that. There are 5 more episodes out of 12 to see. This could turn out to be sensational or it could flame out. I've seen the latter happen to BL series at least four times this year.
Episodes 4 through 8 have moved my opinion of this show from..."meh, it's ok" to "this is quite good." During 7 I thought it might boldly go where no BL has dared to go before but I was wrong, alas.
Nevertheless, the development and interaction of the MC, and how it has been choreographed and filmed during these episodes, has been lovely. The scene of one painting the other...wow. The camera playing in closeup over QX's handsome beauty as he gazed upon his other in that bright sunlight...exquisite.
TL's acting has impressed throughout, though that side arc has been sloppy at times.
Out of the blue, one of the most deeply moving BL confession scenes I've ever seen. Major feels and tears here. I had to get the paper towels. Not exactly surprised though; it was clear early on that Zhang Xuan Yu as QX is a terrific actor.
Where are all the usual Church Lady MDLers I expected to find here shrieking "AGE GAP" and "PEDO" all over the place? The actor portraying TL is very good. From the beginning, he has seemed to be two completely different people; one in his teaching role and another in his personal life. Nicely done.
Sort of a zombie/fish kiss...? Despite aforementioned dips in the road, I definitely had some goosebumps and eye-feels during the bedroom confrontation scene. Well done! Not above using some passive aggression to achieve his goals, QL continues to impress with his take-no-prisoners approach to the current state of affairs.

Grow up.
OK, now I feel bad. I apologize. I never expected that you HAD to change your mind or your title because I hold a differing opinion. My bad.
Although I believe what I've said here to be true, for the most part I was teasing with the rest. :)
Have a great day!
SLGS is a "gay drama?," not a BL? lol
Got it.
So, basically, in your review, you're announcing as fact something that is merely an opinion. Got it.
This is good, getting better even. Fingers crossed.
So many BLs have started out well, then gone to shit on me lately. :P

Overall, pretty damn good.
