It's their nickname. You should teach yourself about thai names & learn to respect others countries culture before…
I KNOW it's his nickname, brainiac. I know all about Thai nicknames, and "Barcode" is a lame one. The insult applies to the individual, not the entire nation and culture, though you'd like to make it appear otherwise.

You should teach yourself about relaxing your sphincter.

"ableist..." hahahaha You HAVE to be an American girl, right? Thoroughly versed in the ways of the SJW cult?
Nah, I'll stick with American Girl, otherwise known here on MDL as a Little Girl. Doesn't really matter where you're from. The mindset is the same. You seek to be offended for the sake of appearing socially aware and progressive. You seek out "homophobia" and "misogyny" where there is none because you think it makes you look and sound good.

I'm a gay man. I'm well aware that homophobia, misogyny, racism, classism, and all the rest exist IRL, but I don't pretend to see it where it doesn't exist. There is no homophobia or ableism in the writing of this show, but sure enough, you see it in your little head because you want an excuse to use terms like homophobia and ableism, which you think makes you seem super-progressive.

"Wait! You can't call me that! It's out of style now!" Cuts no ice with me. After all, policing other people's speech is one of the things you do most aggressively.

SJW means the same thing today as it did 15 years ago. Or should I just call you a "self-righteous, PC performance artist, more interested in promoting yourself as an advocate and defender of the oppressed than in making any actual difference in the real world." Oh wait...you've probably forbidden the use of "PC" too, right?

You're a cliche, by any name.

Leave me alone, SJW.

Tangoecho is precisely the kind of brain-dead, self-righteous Internet know-nothing who doesn't mind repeating rumors whether they know them to be true or not. It makes them feel better about themselves, so they go ahead and yak away. And at least in Korea, you get thousands of those types yakking away about an actor/idol they know little to nothing about and all of a sudden you've got another dead celebrity.

I have a feeling Tangoecho wouldn't be bothered a bit by that.

I pay a tiny bit of attention to Thai-pop on youtube because I am a huge fan of the Thai BLs I Told Sunset About You and I Promised You the Moon, after which the actor Bilkin focused on music/singing and I was curious to check him out in that role. He's a good singer, I guess, but not a great performer. It mystifies me how the Thai audiences turn out and go crazy for him at concerts.

As a side-effect of following Bilkin and seeing KinnPorsche, (started great, got lamer with each episode) though, I came across Jeff Satur's music. Now THERE is a man who can sing/dance/perform, much more so than Bilkin! Satur's songs and stage personae is sex on a stick. I like the darkness he chooses to portray in his music videos too. Enough with Thai fluff!

Billkin is incredibly stiff onstage and cannot dance to save his life. I feel badly for him when they try to make him do so anyway. :D

This is in reference to the Kinn/Porsche saga? It is so twisted that the second season of that very successful series was CANCELLED as a result of that writer/actor psychodrama. I still don't understand that bit. Hell, in the U.S. that publicity would be good for keeping the show in the news as it was under production. :D

No, dear, remember...?: Yoo was charged with using the fast-acting anesthetic Propofol hundreds of times over a three year period. Also, charged with purchasing around 1,100 sleeping pills illegally. I don't know the time frame on that accusation. The absurd Marijuana charge is that he smoked up with four friends WHILE IN THE UNITED STATES, and that he "compelled" them to smoke against their will. That is how stupid Korean drug laws are.

Propofol is the nasty stuff that killed Michael Jackson. It's nothing to fool around with. But Yoo was administered the drug by three different doctors, and I just now read that ALL three were given suspended prison sentences and a small fine. I'm hoping that signals that Yoo will receive a mild sentence as well, perhaps including mandatory rehab.

Thing I don't get about using Propofol this way is that yes, it knocks you out fast, but you also wake up 20-30 minutes later. And again, it puts you under, it doesn't get you high. Yoo has been a severe insomniac for years but I don't see how Propofol is the answer. He says he was always prescribed and administered the drug by doctors. Of course, Propofol is dangerous and should be regulated but I don't see how you include it in the same category with heroin, fentanyl, and a ton of other drugs that get you high.

Well...please keep in mind we're on the same side when it comes to stalking, suicide, Netizens, toxic/psycho fan, the vicious Korean press, the so-called justice system that persecutes celebrities every chance it gets as a means of promoting its image as "tough on crime," especially drugs.

In the comment you originally replied to, my sarcasm about Korea having one celeb suicide every week was specifically directed AT the problem, not in support of it. So, if you happen upon a future comment of mine, remember that I liberally employ large measures of sarcasm and smart-assery in making a point. I'm not above some MDL-proof name-calling when it's justified. :)

I rant about Korea's suicide problem because it has taken several actors and idols I thought well of, and I'm sick of it.
Park Young Ha (earely hallyu star and actor)
Kim Jonghyun of kpop group SHINee (this one nearly broke me
Moonbin of kpop group Astro
Cha In Ha, rising actor/extremely talented
Sulli and Gu Hara, female kpop idols

These are just a few off the top of my head. There are dozens and dozens of them. I've been holding my breath regarding the actor Yoo Ah In, who has been under drug investigation for well over a year (Korean law enforcement likes to drag out these celeb cases for PR purposes). I'm concerned he will be another suicide statistic if they don't wrap things up. The press and Netizens and yes, assholes here on MDL have been dragging him since he was first charged. So far, so good, he's hanging in there. But I worry. He's a great actor.

So who are these idols/actors you feel protective of?

Is this the same Kittyen who accused me of promoting stalking and suicide in the nasty reply a few comments above? lol

Yup.

Oh...the nasty LG above who accused me of "stanning" a "drug addict" was referring to one of the best actors in Korea, Yoo Ah In, who is STILL being persecuted by the police/media/netizens/public over accusations that began to be made more than a year ago. As usual, the cops are dragging out the investigation and making Yoo return to the police station numerous times because each visit provides them a photo-op sure to be widely covered in the press, and makes them look like they are being real hard asses on drug crime.

The nasty little vermin directed her bile at Yoo because obviously she had stalked my profile page and saw that a photo of him is my current avatar. She cannot grasp the sad irony of her doing to Yoo through her comment the same thing that was done to LSK and so many other Korean stars who killed themselves as a result of being mercilessly judged and hammered by twats like her. Either that or she just doesn't care. It's all sport to her.

The worst of it is that convention whereby subjects of investigations, when called in for questioning, are expected to stop and stand at this painted line in the parking lot so reporters and photographers can harass them. I don't know what would happen if you just kept walking and gave them the finger. The media would explode with fake outrage, but I'm unsure there's any legal penalty for doing that.

That convention is one of the humiliating things that put LSK over the edge.

I have to say again that Koreans don't care how often you get shit-faced drunk or puke in the alley every night. SOJU is king there. Alcohol is a drug and Korea has the highest rate of alcoholism among developed nations by far. But no one there cares about the booze, which costs the economy and culture BILLIONS in lost productive hours, hospitalizations, auto accidents, deaths, maimings, health care to treat the ailments alcohol abuse brings, and a zillion other monetary and human costs. But because it's "just" booze, the people and the government don't give a shit.

Korea: First among OECD nations in:
Suicide
Alcoholism and alcohol abuse
Tobacco addiction
But let someone be seen smoking a joint and 50M Korean heads explode.

I was on the fence about whether to watch this or not, but thanks to your comment I won't be wasting my time. If…
Lord...Thailand's last watchable show was Moonlight Chicken two years ago, and it had been a couple years before that since a good one had been made. I do at least read the synopses of most new ones, which is enough to turn me away, but every one I've tried in the last couple of years has been a no-go. Which means it will receive high ratings and rave reviews here on MDL.

Note: I drag the membership and resulting ratings/reviews of MDL frequently, but I enjoy the site for its ability to let me track what I've seen, list shows I want to watch , and make custom lists, which I like doing. For the most part, it is well put together from a technical perspective. That's why I drop in almost every day.

Thanks, Maggi, for saying for me better than I said it myself. Much appreciated.

As you know, most MDLers don't do or understand the concept of sarcasm or smart-assery. They take their young, Lesbian male BL characters very seriously here. :D They also take comments that drag a show they like as personal insults toward them as human beings, apparently because it is more difficult pre-adolescence, to differentiate oneself from the stuff one stans. hmmm...that seems like a familiar concept in relation to this show...?

Oh, and how about the moron above who took my sentence about the frequency of celebrity suicide in Korea as the direct OPPOSITE of what it meant? This type of MDLer has no sense of humor or understanding of the power of sarcasm to make a point more strongly than a straightforward statement on the same topic would do.

What a refreshing comment. Me too. But all the other commenters here are perfect, flawless, and without non-sjw human weaknesses. We can only hope to one day live up to their level of self-righteous perfection.

The glee with which Taishin says 'Being a stan is so much fun' makes you realise why stalkers stalk. We know Taishin…
For god's sake, he's completely harmless. Couldn't hurt a fly if he tried his hardest. That said, the whole "stan" subplot here is juvenile af.

Y'all actually love to consume a full on red flag obsessive freak character if it was set in a dark bl background…
Why are you wetting your pants over whether or not other people watch a stupid show you think is great? Not that I owe you an explanation, but I watch because Takara is beautiful and the episodes are short so it's a wash. Other people have other reasons, none of which are your business. Maybe they keep watching because it IS so bad, and they can't quite believe it so they keep coming back to marvel at its terribleness. What's any of it to you? Skip comments you don't like and change your undies.
