This is what I think everytime someone's life is ruined bc it's exposed they used drugs (especially marihuana,…
I'm talking about group appearances/interviews long BEFORE the Burning Sun thing came to light. Distancing themselves in advance of the "scandal?" Seems far-fetched, but perhaps you're correct.

This brought nothing new to the table regarding the subject of prostitution.'
If the idea was to expose the viewer to this underground world, it didn't do that effectively either.

How are we going to watch this now? so sad
Surprising even myself, I chose to watch "My Mister," which I'd not seen before, a couple months after LSK left us. Somehow, it was comforting, more so as I watched, to see him over an extended period as he was in life.

As horrendous as celebrity suicides in Korea are, it's useful to remember that Korea as a whole has the highest rate of suicide among developed nations, in the entire world. It's not even close. I don't remember which country is #2, but they're far below Korea's rate. So celeb suicides can be seen as an extension of the problem, which is society-wide. There is insane levels of pressure to succeed in ALL things in Korea. Combine that with the culture of shame alongside it and you have a perfect recipe for people in the public eye to feel doubly shamed and pressured when something negative occurs.

The Korean media and so-called "Netizen" monsters are all-too happy to feed the ravenous frenzy that we saw end in LSK's lonely death, and they've done it over and over, and will again. From what I've seen of late regarding two tempest-in-a-teapot "scandals" in kpop, I fear we may have another death soon.

Then there's Yoo Ah In, who the press/media/police have been raking over the coals for at least a year. I hope he makes it out the other side OK.

But then, there wouldn't be a story to tell, now would there?
Bingo! It was meant to be.

Overlong, pretentious but often beautiful, bloated mess.
Boring for a long stretch in the middle, then became mildly interesting again but I had to hang on by a fingernail to finish it.
Some gorgeous cinematography and lots of unique camera work.
The male leads should have had the focus, that's where the chemistry was. There was none where the film seemed to want me to think it was.
FL is awful. This is the second, possibly good movie she ruined for me.
There are no philosophical questions presented here that haven't been done to death a thousand times before.

Story and script are a mess. Makes zero sense.
Two male leads are handsome, seem to have acting talent, and great chemistry between them.
Cinematography is nice, which is a waste in service to such a train wreck screenplay.

These are the most appealing Thai actors I've seen since the leads in Moonlight Chicken.

Title In the Wake
Took too long to get going, but once it did I enjoyed it.
Even now, Abe causes me to have unclean thoughts. :)
Satoh Takeru is a very good actor.
It's fun to watch Hayahi Kento, the skinny, cute kid in the tiny speedo from "Dive!!!" now playing these sorts of adult roles. I get a kick out of him when he tries to be an irritable hardass. :)

Unfortunately, I figured out the main reveal at about 50 minutes into the film but kept watching for Takeru and Abe. The twist right at the end was unlikely to say the least, but brought me to tears nonetheless.

I haven't watched a Japanese film in a while; I tend more toward Korean/Taiwanese, so it took some getting used to all the yelling, lol. At first I thought I was back in a WW2 military flick listening to officers shrieking at their subordinates.

Dropped it at 30 minutes. Characters and story didn't draw me in, and too little of Takeru.
I thought of doing likewise, but held on and was glad I did. It picked up a lot after about 50 minutes. But any film that takes that long to get going, hasn't done its job.

Lord, when is Earth going to learn Korean and escape to Seoul so he can be involved in some projects worthy of his screen presence, good looks, and talent? I could easily see him as a major feature film action star, with the occasional dramatic role here and there. Instead, it seems he's going to fade into old age in Bangkok, making dreck like this.

I haven't done any research, but why is there seemingly no feature film industry to speak of in Bangkok? Is everyone too busy making crappy BLs to put some effort into a decent feature film?

Yes! There are MANY ultra-explicit, graphic, and pornographic sex scenes in Moonlight Chicken. Don't you remember?

10/10 all the way, baby.

There is now a remastered, very clear version of this on Youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkLLlIC_VzE

I have watched this three times before, but today I feel like I saw the film for the first time. So many rich details were lost in the fuzzy, 360p versions I watched before.

NO REGRET now moves up to #2 on my Top 30 Best Gay Feature Films list, just behind NIGHT FLIGHT, both directed by the genius Leesong Hee Il.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Where can I watch this?
There is a beautiful, remastered and clear version now on Youtube. I discovered and watched it just today. It's spectacular. I feel I missed at least half the film with the shitty, 360p versions I watched before.

Title No Regret Spoiler
It was a shock that he decided to murder his lover just because he ignored him in front of his fiance and parents…
Seriously? "Just because...?" The rich guy kept after the host guy until he finally admitted he loved him in return, let down all of his defenses, and allowed himself to love him body and soul, all the while keeping secret the fact that he was engaged to marry some rich bitch he doesn't even love. THEN...because mommy and daddy threatened him, the rich guy ghosted the host and treated him like shit, just as the host's friend had been treated like shit, and just like the guy who was going to help him bury his ex had been treated like shit.

The host got SICK of being treated like shit, and being ignored in the hallway as the tall one walked by with his fake/beard wife was only the final straw.

Plus, in the end, the host changed his mind and saved the rich one's life in the hole, stopping the other guy from burying him. Did you even watch the movie?

like the very last scene when the cop shows up and he grabs the other guys junk. like what ending is this?
The guy behind the wheel is grabbing the other one's junk just like it happened in reverse when they spent the first night together at the host's apartment. The junk-grabbing is the tall one saying "ok, we're even. All is forgiven. I love you." The beautiful, tearful, smile the host gives him in return is him agreeing with all of that. They love each other and will be together.

That quirky, funky, dark/happy ending is one of the many reasons I adore this movie.

Based on the fact the number of cases in which such a relationship would work is nil.
No, it IS common sense. If you think an ace/normie relationship will work long term in most caes, you are lying to yourself and to me.
That the vast majority of ace/normie relationships won't work is not "my opinion." It is a fact.
The doctor in this show was NOT honest with the guy who dumped him because he wouldn't have sex, now was he? He was very "sneaky" about it.
What makes you think "most of them will be open about it?" Based on what? YOUR biases and assumptions, that's what.
How odd to be so hysterical in defense of someone lying about their lack of sex drive to a potential partner. Why do you support that?
How freaking ironic to be whining about "bickering" when you're one of the bickering people.
I have never encouraged gay people, of which I'm one, to LIE to unsuspecting straight people about being gay, which is what you're encouraging ace people to do.

There is this thing called "common sense." Try it.

Sure, such a relationship might work in one out of million cases, but that's not enough to render it worth considering. It doesn't affect you either, unless you're an ace person selfishly dating an unsuspecting normie, so why do you care one way or the other?
