How are you so sure that she didn't knew about anything? Cause the victim liked a post saying that she knew everything...…
Hi Killer Knetz.
No one knows if this person IS a victim.
Why would you believe anything coming from a random accuser, especially in Korea, home of the Celebrity Suicide Machine?

Oh, I remember, because you're a Killer Knetz...

I love thriller more than romance genre and most thrillers I rate high. But this one only gets 7.5 from me. decent…
That's partly what I meant above, though.
If what you're after is non-stop action/fights from beginning to end, this isn't for you.
However, I enjoy thrillers that take their time setting the stage, giving me background, introducing the characters, etc., so that when the mayhem begins, I care about the people involved. Either that, or I despise them. :)

The Koreans are good at making me care about even some of the bad guys now and then, which is cool. Or at least, letting me know why they are the way they are, and not portraying them as simply EVIL.

Whoa.
This is about as nihilistic, bleak, and heartbreaking as movies get.

Stunning performances from the three young leads, especially 16-year-old Yoshi as Taro. Wow.I wouldn't be surprised if he won awards for this.
Now, I'm really heartbroken to learn from his bio page that Yoshi died just three years after this film was released, in a motorcycle/truck accident. :(

It's a hard watch. I say that as someone who likes nihilistic, bleak, and heartbreaking.

My only complaint is that it dragged in multiple places.

Title Taro the Fool Spoiler
Why did Eji die? and how?
My take is that he had a concussion/bleeding on the brain from when he got clobbered with his own bat in that last altercation in the parking garage. Remember, that night he woke up holding his head and then puked? Classic symptom of an untreated brain hemorrhage. The symptoms can come on slowly like that, and the person just...dies.

Why is it wrong to use an 18-year-old in the series?
I guess I missed the comment in which you "closed the discussion," because no such comment exists.
Either way, having "closed the discussion," here you are again, participating in it.
Apparently, I missed the comment in which you re-opened the discussion.

So, at what age are actors allowed to participate in simulated sex scenes, under your moral code?
At what age are actors allowed to participate in simulated scenes of violence, under your moral code?
You referred to "...the effect it's meant to have on the public," but you didn't say what that effect is, nor did you "talk about it." Mentioning something in passing is not "talking about it."
How does "the public" generally consume sex scenes? That's another thing you mentioned but didn't explain.

Telling you to "educate yourself or shut up" is a directive, which is the opposite of whining.

You haven't "challenged" a single thing I've written.
Randomly stating opinions as if they're facts is not a challenge, it's laziness.

Amusing comment. Is the show seriously bad enough to be good, as the kids say?
Thanks for the update. :)
I haven't fit this into my watch schedule yet, but maybe later.

You didn't reply to my question: Do you agree that all actors under 35 should be barred from participating in simulated sex scenes, considering that their frontal cortexes are still developing?

You also didn't answer as to why you're OK with young actors performing murders and beatings, but when it comes to depictions of sexual activity, you freak out. Do you consider murder and violence to be "moral?"

No one said you can't drop a show. Do whatever you want.
But don't expect that your comments won't be challenged. That's what comment sections are for.

Stop using words you don't know the meaning of, such as "pedophile." Educate yourself or shut up.

The current situation surrounding Zhang Ruonan, Wang Anyu, and many others is a grim manifestation of the "Idol…
I agree with this comment.
The marketing strategies of, not only Chinese companies, but Korean as well, foment and promote the sasaeng mindset and behaviors. The incessant focus on idols' personal views, qualities, feelings, and the weird, intrusive questions they are expected to answer on bizarre Asian variety shows, drives the idea that fans should "know" and identify personally with idols rather than focusing on their music and/or acting activities, style, development, etc.

I absolutely agree that production companies tolerate sasaeng activity as a side-effect of their marketing strategies. These idols aren't being "paranoid," they are reacting like any normal human would to being stalked and harassed wherever they go, even at home, as if there is no escape.

If the companies and law enforcement really wanted to stop this activity, they could do so pretty quickly, with a harsh, no-tolerance approach including arrest, prosecution, and jail time for these psychos.

I'm guessing many of these sasaengs are mentally unstable to begin with. Production companies' marketing strategies play right into their propensity for obsessive thinking. Once in a while we see this in the US too, but on a scale far, far smaller than in China and Korea.

After checking your account, I'm guessing you're a burner from the show's marketing/PR department. Or maybe you're…
lol
I didn't mention anything about a "conspiracy theory."
I don't care if my "tone" annoys you.
I am highkey accusing YOU of things, based on your comment and your burner account.
Who's "offended," other than you?

Spare me the victim act.
No one's stopping you from doing anything.

I repeat: "After checking your account, I'm guessing you're a burner from the show's marketing/PR department."

So, what's up with you having watched 4 episodes of ONE show and NO movies, as indicated in your profile, yet here you are, posting glowing reviews of that one show you've watched?
And you joined MDL 8 days ago. lol

Says who? You? lol
As long as it's legal, and there's no reason it shouldn't be, what business is it of yours? And why is it OK for an 18-year-old to be involved in violent or murder scenes, but sex scenes freak you out? Are you suggesting that performing a simulated sex scene is the equivalent of forced child prostitution involving actual sex?

Recent studies indicate that the human brain continues to rewire itself into the early 30s. I think anyone under 35 should be barred from performing simulated sex scenes, don't you?

You're welcome. :)
I agree, it's fascinating that a congenital defect results in a physical trait that the vast majority of humans find powerfully attractive.
Perhaps in a few hundred thousand more years, evolution will do its work and the majority of humans will have them.

Hi!Well, I did watch it all the way through, so apparently, I was hopeful to the bitter end. However, had I known…
HAD to share this with you. :D

I just went to the "Duang With You" mdl page to check it out.
Below is a quoted review that perfectly summarizes why I will NOT be watching even one second of the series. lol

///

WHY IS THIS SHOW SO CUTE I CAN’T BREATHE!!!
Duang With You is literally my emotional support chaos. It’s so stupidly CUTE and unhinged in the best way that I’ll be sitting there giggling like an idiot one second and hiding my face in a blanket the next because WHY are they like this. The embarrassing moments hit so hard I physically curl up, but somehow that just makes it even funnier and even sweeter. It’s the kind of show that grabs your bad mood, shakes it around, and yeets it out the window.

If you’re ever feeling low, bored, or just need something that feels like a sugar rush to the brain, watch it. It’s silly, it’s soft, it’s chaotic, and it absolutely works as a mood‑reset button. I SOOO recommend you to watch this!!!!! IT'S SOOOO GOOD!!! EEEKK!!

Forgot to mention that if I do hear of a Thai BL that is supposedly awesome, I will check it out, but nine times out of ten, it will be shit. Never hurts to try though.

It has gotten to where even the sound of the Thai language annoys me. lol I think I connect it to really bad BLs. :) Also LOTS of bad movies.
