i'm really happy that cho hui's background is what we thought it was. some may think that it's done too much or too stereotypical, but it's something that happens a lot. i'm glad hometown cha cha cha isn't afraid to tackle real issues even in the backstories of their supporting characters.
here's what i got from this episode: dushik was in a car accident. we know this for sure. he was with his sunbae from college during this accident, and he passed. we know this from the funeral scenes. for some reason, i don't think his sunbae was supposed to be in that car at that time .. not sure about this part. that's just what im getting from the woman hitting him and saying that "it should've been you," but that could also just be her grieving with wild emotions. dushik has survivors guilt. i guess that this car accident was the cause of both 1. his sunbae dying, and 2. causing the security guard (?) to be paraplegic.
hong dushik isn't dragging some typical emotional baggage. he's dragging a whole truck.
that latest episode. that latest preview. kim seonho's acting plays with your emotions. he doesn't make you cry, but allows you to feel that emotions he feels in that scene deep down.
