For Coffee Prince he is that gray-area bisexual, but there is another character who is most straightforward in being bisexual which is Han Yoo Joo, who talks about having had a crush on a female teacher before.
loved this but started getting bored around the 40 episode mark. im just not interested in angsty misunderstandings. doesnt feel like the characters are growing either, which is a bummer because i really love a good character arch. still i want to see this drama to the end though T_T it was so bingeable in the beginning
Cool list! Wow... Netflix has really helped make a lot of dramas recently huh. I think you're missing a few dramas (Hospital Playlist season 1, Arthdal Chronicles series). I knew they made a lot but I guess I didn't realize how many.
It’s not a bad rating. 8.2 is actually very good & high. It’s not reaching a 9 but it’s is not a 3 lol.
8 is pretty good. Usually if it's an 8 it's because some people have rated it a 10. Even 7.8 is usually not too bad. If it's a rating of 9 that means it's considered universally good, and once it gets to 8 it becomes subjectively good. At least that's what I've noticed in kdramas. If you go to jdramas then the rating values change. I also know that people generally rate higher for newer shows. Usually ratings go down after a show finishes airing or if a show is a few years old.
I honestly really enjoyed this drama. I'd been putting off watching it for a long time and didn't have great expectations. I'm a little disappointed that it seems like it was set up to have a season 2 because I prefer shows that have a closed ending. I sat down thinking I would watch one episode and ended up finishing the whole thing in one sitting! haha it was nice to finally binge something again. Might end up reading the book
This was a fun show if you haven't read the book. Unfortunately, I read the book and loved it way more than this…
Oh good! I watched the show and really liked it, but I felt like there was some depth not explored. I could feel there was more to the story, so I'm tempted to read the book. I'm guessing you recommend it then!
I just read up to the part of story, and I can see your point about it being a bit underdeveloped. I can't say I entirely agree that it was done bad, because I think the story still had a lot of depth despite not being able to explore these things in their entirety. Personally, I thought the story had a lot of heart and did a good job of expressing complicated emotions. I also disagree about Teh's characterization. I think it makes sense that he still has to develop through his selfishness, even if that is something he worked on in the first season. I personally feel like they could have dug into that a little more actually. That felt really true to his character in my opinion. But when you mentioned that oh-aew is too perfect of a character, I was like "oh damn, Ashu has a point" haha. I hadn't thought about it like that. And you mentioned that he has like a flaw, which is his wishy-washyness when it comes to his dreams, but like you said... it doesn't get explored well. Thanks for adding some perspective to my opinion of the show. I still really like the second season, but I can see your side of it too now.
I really loved this series! The amount of detail to make it feel realistic was so good. The first episode especially was such a great way of digging into that college experience, and they did a great job of depicting how life pulls people apart. Oddly enough, I appreciated that Teh was still a selfish asshole. He was a little less so than the first season, but his cheating really brought it back I was like "wow, this feels consistent with his character, like i want to hate him for it, but this is just good writing" haha. I honestly was kind of hoping for something with Oh-aew and Q, but I think I'm satisfied with Q having a one-sided crush. Oh-aew will always be loved I suppose, and who can blame the poor people who fall for him? haha he is too cute! What more can I say? The acting was great, the cinematography was great, the stories were so real and heartfelt, I loved it. It reminded me of my first love and of course I cried haha. So glad I watched this. I think I liked it more than the first season!!
