It's called having basic human compassion, moron. Something foreign to sickos like you.
I'm a different person btw. I think you should log off and go outside. Because you claim that you want to "communicate better" but here you are hurling insults at me because you think i'm someone else. I don't know who this person is but people CAN share opinions you know so maybe that commentor is just doing that. I'm not chronically online so i have better things to do that comment weird things under the post talking about a south korean actor.
This is complete horseshit. You are the same person posting as "psychophant" and a few other names here. You slipped…
gurl what?? I'm a whole different person are you serious right now 😭😭😭 this is exactly what i'm saying like i'm sorry but you guys are so weird when it comes to any issue about korea because here you are shit talking me when all i said was a simple thing that maybe just MAYBE international fans should simply give our sympathies and move on. It is not our place to fight a battle that is for koreans to solve. It is their country what the heck do we know about their cultural dynamics just because we watch a few dramas? Everyone wants to be an expert in solving korean problems on this site. It is not our business and that's the truth. Do you think koreans are incapable of fighting for their own truth? They're fighting right now aren't they? Sheesh. Also who the heck would go as far as making alt accounts on a DRAMA website? Certainly not me because i have a life outside of the internet.
Crazy how there's always so little nuance amongst international fans when it comes to korean issues. One side can't bear to listen to even a single criticism "because how dare you talk badly about our perfect fetishised utopia" while the other side thinks of SK as hell on earth. I personally think it's none of our business. Like AT ALL. let's just stay in our lanes and let actual koreans handle their problems.
Weird. With that cast nobody expected it to be unpopular.
Unpopular doesn't mean good. It was going to have a certain level of popularity ofcourse but like i said it exceeded all that even more that what was expected.
Why are people voting on "moving "? Lol i would say it's one of those shows that actually exceeded expectations because most people didn't expects a superhero show like this to be so popular.
It's a really good show! i just wish i cared about choi yi jae more...it's kinda hard being invested in a "death game" when the person playing it doesn't interest you at all lol but fingers crossed that he grows on me.
If it is focused on eungyeol and his family and then what difference will it make? Coz in present Eun Gyeol had…
This is the fault of the writers in my opinion even if they want to show a romance between eunyu and eungyeol it shouldn't come at the expanse of the chungah's screentime. So i think adding her character did more harm than good because it's obvious that the writers don't know how to focus on other important characters.
Another episode with less screentime for chung ah. Honestly i think i'm going to drop this for now on and maybe pick it up when it's finished. In my opinon they ruined this show by adding too many unnecessary scenes (like the gang one) and giving more screentime to EunYu. Eunyu isn't a bad character but there needs to be a balance if you're focusing on different characters. Idk what it is maybe the actress's popularity but there's obviously a bias in the storytelling for her. They should've just focused on eungyeol and his family.
really wish cheong ah had more screentime. Out of all the main characters she has the least scenes. It's starting to become annoying how she's being sidelined for more se gyeong x eungyeol moments even though her character is important.
And how was he portrayed as a savage now? :))They are just stupid people that are exaggerating because they don't…
Korea is a homogeneous country one representation means all arabs are being represented as such. Sheesh are your romance kdramas & oppas so precious that people can't even criticse problematic depictions? Korea is a country like any other and if they're exporting their entertainment to foreign countries they should also be mindful of stereotypes
And how was he portrayed as a savage now? :))They are just stupid people that are exaggerating because they don't…
The point is that koreans have a habit of portraying other cultures with negative stereotypes. I'm assuming you don't know that the "rich arab prince falling for korean woman" is also a stereotype in their media. No need to write paragraphs defending them if given a chance they'll make jokes of your culture too. There was no need for an arab character in this show, if they can't be respectful don't add them in the plot it's simple.
Honestly if this was a harmless stereotype most people wouldn't have even cared but korean media has an obsession with showing "savage" or rich brown/Arab men. Just read some of their manhwas and count how many times you see a brown skinned male character being called a savage or a beast. If you don't respect other cultures so why bother adding them in shows? Just became an unnecessary controversy & resulted in some people dropping the show.
The first episode was nice!! The only other poly shows i've seen with a female lead involved is 3 will be free so I'm excited for this & wondering if anyone knows other series
Honestly really dislike this new trend of webtoon adaptations specially since the scriptwriters rarely have respect for the original source material. I feel like japanese dramas do manga adaptations a lot more justice than kdramas do to webtoon
