I like the FL and think that her character is balanced, she might be clingy to Tang San but she's just as protective and kind to him. She's strong and likeable, she says she grew up in the wild which is why her personality is carefree. I don't find her annoying, unlike so many dramas where the FL is straight up obnoxious or an airhead. It's a fun show, not confusing which I was nervous about with Fantasy Wuxia dramas. So far I would give it an 8.5, but we'll see it depends on the end
Quarter 1 is filled with historical dramas according to rumors since it's the winter holidays and the viewership will go up, especially since historical cdramas are a family favorite in china, so let's hope the rumors stay true and we get this and the long ballad soon!
This isn't terrible but definitely much better on 1.5- 2x speed, it would be great if it was 10 eps shorter but Cdramas always try to maximize profit by making it longer than necessary
Why is Grunt's storyline/ second couple the more interesting pair in this drama? or is it just me? The first few eps were SO CRINGY! On ep 5 hopefully this gets better. I have to admit the storyline is a bit confusing since the relationship happens over years (before S1 and after it too)
According to rumors Oath of Love will air after this in Mid March like how they are releasing lots of Hu Yi Tian's dramas after each other they might do the same with Xiao Zhan
I WILL WATCH ANYTHING WITH JISUNG IN. His projects are always well picked and he's so charismatic and amazing. I kind of miss him in the comedy genre even though he does melodrama and intense thrilling dramas really well.
If you really think about it, it's technically only 50 eps since it's half the time of a regular drama episode. I'm going to save this drama for when I'm on a drama slump. it seems like a heartwarming addictive show
Wow all the war scenes are heart-stopping so intese and the visuals are crazy, just the amount of money to hire the actors in the army alone and their costumes must be A LOT!

Wow even when the leads are apart (on ep 15) it's as intense and interesting as ever, even more so since the stakes are higher. The chemistry is amazing and this drama is setting a HIGH BAR for the rest of 2021, in terms of production quality, acting and chemistry
The story gets pretty simple and predictable but it's so addictive I can't stop watching I love it. Also BEST SECOND LEAD EVER! And Lee Il Hwa is such a good actress she can do any genre, I found it a bit funny how most her scenes were just staring angrily at the screen repeatedly xD
I'm totally biased since I love Justin Yuan who plays Ling Long's father but so far it's great! I like the father-daughter relationship and the effects, costumes and cinematography look really good.
There were some plot holes with this drama, but overall I really really liked it. The action is so on point and I really fell for the male lead's character Ji Seok, he is so sweet and considerate. The bantering is cute too. The female lead can be reckless at times but she is smart and capable. The cases were intriguing too
I don't care much about the family's storyline but I really like the chemistry between Bai Yu and Yao Chen, wish they have more screen time though. But I get it since they are trying to cater to a large age range of audiences not just for ppl who care about the main romance
