Oh well, he’s a general leading thousands of soldiers into battle. It would be ridiculous if the wife tags along. Would be a different story if her character was Mu Guiying-like, but she’s not so she cant shadow him into battle.

Take out Mai and Mr Xu out of the picture, he’d be dead even before he manage to get to his father’s army. To take over command. He’s so damn lousy. The only thing that’s been keeping his head on his shoulders is her family’s connections and loyal people.

I take it as a happy ending. The FL died once earlier and she looked dead then too 😜 maybe she took the same wine Zijin gave her for her first death and fake-died the second time so they can hide from the court.

Review Twisted Fate of Love
Ikr! I cant wrap it around my head how come a general can be so dumb and reckless? She has no strategy whatsoever and acts more like a common foot soldier, which is to bulldoze whatever’s ahead and hope for a miracle. I actually dropped this show at episode 5. It’s so draggy and I cant stand the FL’s immaturely clueless stupid moves. The only thing that’s consistent throughout the 5 episodes is her suspicion of Feng Xi.

One thing that they didnt show in the series but is in the novel is that the black horse was one of the reasons why NQ passed his Academy entrance exam, its the fiercest horse that threw every other candidate but NQ because he threatened to kill it if it doesnt obey. He then got it as his personal horse for the wilderness trip because it’s the only horse strong enough to carry his heavy magical weapons forged by his shixiongs. I guess thats the black horse depicted in season 2 though it never got featured in season 1
