Lime_pickel have some personal problems with Ji Chang wook l have seen you everytime throw shades on JCW you must…
You may not be aware but this commenter has been throwing shades against JCW in the past in the comment sections of other shows. That's why Wookie made that comment.
I think his role in Empress Ki was really cute, he became one of my favorite actors but seeing him in other roles…
Exactly! This person is clearly picking on JCW without having watched all his shows. I can say the same of other actors...same hairstyle=playing himself. Hands in pocket=playing himself. Smiling=playing himself. Frowning=playing himself. Rubbing face=playing himself. Laughing=playing himself...and the list goes on. The stupidity of some people.
There is a difference. Older is less disrespectful to the actress. Cos we're comparing her to the younger actress. But anyway, can't expect people who comment to be so mindful. But I guess some readers can be triggered by the choice of words.

Yep, this person is anti-JCW. So obvious from her comments in the past and now. See the stupid comment below. Didn't watch every show and yet want to comment about his acting as if she knows him so well. Just sour as implied by the user name. I don't even want to engage with such a fluff. Probably sour about JCW cos of her bias.
So the picture that SHS posted on her insta is the first teaser? Haha...looks like that to me. The vibe is heartwarming and fun. Looking forward the official teaser next week!
Ji Chang Wook said, "Although I also like The Worst of Evil, I feel like the title is a bit too grandiose compared to the essence of our work. This is just my personal opinion. I [might] get scolded by the director [for saying this]."
This is not a genre I enjoy watching but this show is gripping from beginning to end cos of the play of human emotions and guessing games. The story is not exceptional but the way it is told is interesting enough and it never got stupid or makjang. It's not perfect of course but when you're watching, you'll need to consider that the story was set in the 90s and not current 2023.
The ending for such genres are usually not the best...most of the time pretty tragic. But this one is not. I felt satisfied with the ending and it didn't fall flat cos it left me with lingering thoughts and wanting to re-watch.
I have said enough about the acting and cinematography. Those were A+++. Oh, the BMG is also A+.
How similar is this to Healer or K2? because I loved those 2 shows but I dont know why I'm so hesitant to start…
Very different. If you have watched some of the Hong Kong crime movies, then this might seem familiar in terms of storyline but the styling and tone is at another level. Also, this one focuses more on the human emotions. I don't know what you liked about Healer or K2 but this one is not romantic, and the fighting style is different...far more violent.
I will watch him in any genre because I can trust that he will bring the character he plays to life. So many other actors, even the really good ones, they look the same in every role. But JCW is different. Even in the action genre, you can compare Healer, K2, Fabricated City, and The Worst of Evil. He doesn't look the same and his expressions and nuances are completely different. When I watched him in the final 3 episodes of TWOE, I had mentally contrast PJM with Ri-eul (from TSOM) side by side and I was so amazed. The look, the expressions were completely different but played by the same actor. That's real pro!
Yes, it's true that some other actors may have picked better scripts but their roles were not memorable because their acting were either mediocre or subpar. It was the script that made them look good. Or some of them could only shine in certain roles that fit their range. But not JCW. He can do any roles and he'll ace them.
I hope he'll become critically acclaimed like Song Kang Ho one day...recognized far and wide for his versatility more than his looks or any genre he plays.
As long as he doesn't try to do comedy again. I think he should pursue other types of acting jobs, if he wants.…
I thought he couldn't do comedy too but when I watched him in Backstreet Rookie, I was surprised he was rather natural. He has the comedic timings. But it's also true I prefer to watch him playing characters with deeper emotions.
The irony is that his best project was The K2.After that, it went all downhill for him, and this time he's back…
That's solely your opinion. Just like in my opinion, TSOM and LSITC were excellent and much better than K2 for sure. We all have different preferences. It doesn't mean our opinions are universal truths. It's subjective truth only to ourselves.
While I enjoy watching this drama so far, but the thought that this was all a dream (judging from previews) somehow pisses me off. Like I'm being shortchanged. Am I the only one feeling this way?
I honestly don't get it, why couldn't they just tell that annoying cop Hwang Min Gu about the whole operation?…
Yeah, same question I had. But the drama is set in the 90s so there were a lot of chaos and corruption back then. Also, he would definitely want to foil the operation unless it benefited him some way. PJM did call out his crooked ways and how he was basically no different from a thug.
2. The Sound of Magic
3. Empress Ki
I agree with his opinion about the title.
