There appears to be a medical problem involved with the ML. I suspect that either it couldl be passed on to his kids, or that he wouldn't be around to help the FL raise the child.
Cha Tae Hyun from Sassy Girl is sympathetic and plays Watson to Dr Brain's Holmes. If Holmes childishly wanted to get back at Watson for up ending his life. Tae Hyun is a single father living with his daughter while his ex-wife wants to get back together. He and his boss unexpectedly develop feelings for each other. There is an evil Moriarty who is often a few steps ahead of the hapless duo. imho The writing sometimes is not as tight as it should be. I watch it as soon as the subs come out and sometimes before.
Don't get me wrong, the show is pretty good, but seriously, what is this with Hanna's plotline? She is supposed…
re The brother, instead of focusing on the company, he is fixated on taking out his sister. The sister realizes her limitations (telling her Uncle why the arranged marriage wasn't good for the company) and will seek out the best. Park is recognized and Ah In will be recognized as the best for the company and for her, I think. The beginning of ep. 13 shows that the Uncle has a soft spot for her. He earlier seems to have said that she has a spark that the others don't have. Mebbe she will show it from the next episode. I do think that she should have sat in on some of the team meetings to do some listening and learn something.
Three couples from 1993, single mother abandoned by her lover, 2008, wife caught between dueling mothers, and 2022, single working woman fighting to keep her job and custody of her child. Pretty interesting. First two are strong women and the middle one has a sweet husband who tries as best he can. He grew on me.
I think that for Seo Hee to get a divorce, the ML helped her by faking an affair. The fracture on her face and how her daughter reacts at the meeting implies that the Jeong Joon Kyung, the retired baseball husband is a control freak. The ML is willing sacrifice his marriage and live in perpetual debt because exposing the affair as a sham might put Seo Hee or her daughter at risk. I think that why Seo Hee didn't take the daughter with her in the initial divorce will because her husband had threatened to harm the daughter if she did. There might also be a pre-nup that if she initiates a divorce, she would lose custody of any potential children. The alleged affair gave Joon Kyung a reason to divorce her and punish her by keeping custody of the daughter. Oh Ha Ra's vindictive divorce settlement with her ex-husband probably also maintained that fiction, until Goo Eum Beom and Seo Hee will manage to get custody of her daughter. Both the lawyer and wife suffering probably lulls the ex-husband. I think that the best friend rifling through Goo Eum Beom's office things will either allow her to 'discover' planted info or more likely, near the end, discover the true reason why Goo Eum Beom staged the affair.
The emperor is pretty useless, his Mum basically controls him and the whole court. I wish he would grow a pair!
I see the Emperor and Pei, the two brothers, as ying and yang. One has heart and the other brains. Each would not be the best emperor by themselves. An emperor with heart protected by an advisor with brains would be the best. He would stay Pei's hand when need be. I also see the Empress and Pei as being the same. Ruthless to get what they seek. Her, to protect her son and him to seek revenge for his Mother. He has shown that he would sacrifice himself for his adoptive parents. I suspect that she might sacrifice herself to save her son. That may be the endgame to fix the Empress. The Qian daughter might be the next deadly enemy.
The 2nd episode was a bit surprising. Like seriously that girl cheated on a college kid cause her husband isnt…
The friend is making enough to take care of the college kid. But the same problem might surface again. I wonder if we will see them again, this time on how to repair a misunderstanding. By then the FL should have entered a relationship with the blind date guy and she finds herself/ them selves backed into a corner. She finds that she really still loves him and he regrets setting her up.
I feel like the writers are mom shaming working moms, why is it expected for Eun Jung to sacrifice her career…
I think they are showing the problems working moms face. But, she is slyly? being undercut by her husband and MIL. MIL should never had made a meal when she knows Mom is bringing home pizza. I don't know or remember what the husband does. But perhaps she is the breadwinner as we only see him at home. The husband should compensate for the working Mom by giving extra love/paying extra attention to the son. Tell him that they need to support and protect the Mom. At the eating stand, hug her when she is complaining/crying. Something tells me that she will have an office romance to complicate things.
