Taro leaves and stems are toxic and irritates the throat if consumed uncooked. Cooking will break down the needle shape raphides in the plant cells. I assume the same will happen to the calcium oxalate. I have eaten undercooked taro leaves. It was a mild irritation.
From wiki; In its raw form, the plant is toxic due to the presence of calcium oxalate, and the presence of needle-shaped raphides in the plant cells. However, the toxin can be minimized and the tuber rendered palatable by cooking, or by steeping in cold water overnight. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
they should've cast a taller actress for the role of cheng xiao.
deadlilies; Heavens No. People of smaller stature can be the most driven. I'm most impressed with her portrayal of a dedicated pilot. The two of them studying with the traffic cones providing an outline of a B787 and the constant practice on the poor man's simulator is the mark of a top pilot.
I really like Song Song, but i completely understand his girlfriend. You need to be very understanding if you date…
SP-427; The song Leaving On A Jet Plane is sometimes said to be a tribute to John Denver's Air Force pilot Father. But I've read that it was about his constant touring. Captain Henry John "Dutch" Deutschendorf Sr set a record flying the B-58 Hustler, an early supersonic bomber. Designed for high level flight, advances in surface to air missiles forced it to fly at low level, where it was a very demanding aircraft to fly.
I don't think she would have so many problems if that one Captain didn't like female pilots so much. She is pretty…
I agree. Nanting can't let go of his past and it colors his present. Were Cheng Xiao a male, there would be no problem with how she stands up for herself. Among pilots, there is a professionalism and also a pecking order. Passenger pilots may look down on freight pilots, but word of mouth will establish the reputation of any pilot. Cheng Xiao has proven herself as a top pilot among the freight pilots. Being one of the few female pilots in that airline, she would stick out and her reputation would have spread among the pilots of that airline. Like a top skater in competition, top pilots would be judged not on one landing but over the average of many landings and in this case, given the benefit of the doubt. There are many kinds of leaders, and Nanting follows the strict boss/CEO trope. He would be accepted by upper management as long as the pilots under him worked efficiently and smoothly. His kind of leader is often called a martinet. But his way is not the only way nor is it the best way. Cheng Xiao said that her former boss would take them aside to reprimand them. That is the approved method for leaders. Nanting's obsession with his past and with Cheng Xiao has lead to a revision (evidently extensive) of the standards for pilots. The problem is that pilots are an expensive investment by the airline and they are chosen because they are professionals, not children. Some of the rules like for sports treat them like children. Those that don't have the self-discipline and common sense to take care of themselves and also fly safely would have been weeded out in the first few years. Also the process for changing the standards for pilots would have a great impact on operations and would need to address an identified problem, be cost effective and also come under review. The pilot's union would also have to review the changes. Whew, sorry, that was a mouthful.

The pulling of the nails suggest unrequited interest/resentment. But I suspect that the missing manager is tied to her disappearance. He may have offered to take her away but then she was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and so both had to die. I suspect that the brother will end up saving Youxi/Wenwen in the end. He regains some intelligence or saves her in his simple minded state.

The DNA results could have been doctored by Wang as it's his facility. The last episode made me question the Father. Why have YouXi or is it Wenwen see the fingernail? That's pretty sadistic. Its existence says that at least one of the parents is pretty evil. My guess that it was the Father who pulled the fingernails.
I envy those who started & liked this series. Have been waiting since sweet tooth but 5 mins in & I almost died…
Watch episode 3 the tone shifts. This is more textured and at times darker than the first episode. I too thought the two leads were too pretty and it looked like a manga series. I am now finishing up to ep. 5.
What does anyone think about the ending of ep 5? I don't think everything that happened so far was only her hallucinations.…
I think that with the Father locking their savings, the Mother decided that she had to take her son and live with Wang as he could spend the money to help her son. The video implies that Wang is the Father as Chen Tian married her even though she was pregnant. (with another man's child) I suspect that Wenwen was abandoned or kidnapped because she was Chen Tian's daughter. Wang would seem to be the prime suspect. Perhaps the thought was that with the daughter gone, the Mother could make the jump to the son's real father. it's a stretch, but instead of killing the girl, some kind hearted soul left her at the orphanage. I suspect that it wasn't the Mother or Wang that took the girl away, but someone connected to Wang. Had the two been connected, the name of the home would have raised suspisions. It seems strange that the video was exposed to that group like that. The group of people assembled to watch the video, perhaps thinking it was like an amateur porno flick with either Xiaoxiu or Cheng Xu's love in it. Both are the same person, but who was the intended victim is different. Xiaoxu is gone, so why the interest in watching her video? Why have Chen Xu pinned down while they watched the video? That part was probably Wang's revenge on him for blackmailing him. They were all surprised with the confession part. I think that the Mother intended the confession to be seen only by the Father. Perhaps Wang wanted to burn her bridges by making common knowledge of her cheating so that she could never come back. I thought that the cousin of the Father might be the rapist, but he seems too big. His face looked like the monkey mask, though. The rapist seems to have a slim body. Either Cheng Xu's friend or Wang's driver might be him.
Some speculations. What surprises might come from the DNA tests. Is You Xi really Wenwen, or perhaps the brother's DNA is off. How long has the wife's cheating been going on?
Perhaps he had reviewed his job application. Before or after is death.
By finding the phone, Park In Seong is by default the one person the CEO can use to carry out his plans. Making In Seong a temporary president makes it easier to do things in the company. He should have access to company files and resources, be able to have company personnel do his bidding and thwart any moves to take over his company. So it wasn't because he was applying to be a president but was available.
Seo Eun-Su was Sanchez's Veronica in Hotel Del Luna. That was a gut punch. Glad to see her having more here. Lee Sang-Hee was the impressive detective Yoo Kyung-Jin in May It Please the Court. Wish she had a larger role here.
