It's so hard being a fan. I don’t like being in Jianci drama drought either, but I also don’t want him to accept a role just for the sake of doing more dramas.

There’s a drama airing right now that he was rumored to be part of last year. I was hoping the rumor was true back then because I love that kind of drama, but after watching it, I find the character he was rumored to play very boring. So, I’m glad he didn’t take it.

Some people may question his choice of Qi Sir role, but seeing state media outlet and random passersby praise his performance and the way he brought the character to life makes it totally worth it.
And with the award he just won, I’m sure more movie opportunities will come his way. As for dramas, so many of them feel similar these days that I wonder what kind of story or character would be interesting enough to make him want to do it.

He’s doing way too much promo for a role with so little screen time. The roadshows were already enough, and now it seems like HY is taking advantage of him. I just hope HY puts this much effort into promoting his new movie
