Interesting series. It reminds me of "Reset the Series" without the time jump. I'll be interested in how this plot moves forward. Jay is a sneaky p-o-s. Even though I know Sun and Jay get together, it would still be nice to see Sun get a little "payback" on Jay for the way he treated him initially.
From reading the other posts, it appears many liked this episode. Well, I'm not in that many. This was one of the most vicious and sick episodes of a BL that I've ever seen, and I've seen hundreds of BL series. I realize that Chinese BLs can be really graphic, intense, and even have some downright sick sh*t at times. But this series takes it to a whole new level. By the end of the episode, I wanted to jump into the scene and beat the sh*t out of Lu Feng myself! I realize love can make you do some crazy stuff, but this was "CRAZY!" I'm not emotionally able to watch the rest of this series. Otherwise, I might kick a hole in my monitor each time Lu Feng is on the screen! You guys enjoy the rest of this series. I'm out of here!
Probably a VERY unpopular opinion but ohh how I don't like anyone in this series except Lu Feng, like this man…
Yeah, your opinion probably will be unpopular with some but not with all. I actually agree with you (and you make some valid points) about LF. Also yeah, in classic Chinese BL fashion, there probably will be a happy ending, as ugly and as messed-up as it might be. LMFAO!!
The thing to remember is this: Chinese BLs have almost always been about 1) over-the-top drama, 2) violence, including sexual violence (which is what I simply can't stand), and 3) over exaggeration of stereotypes and tropes. This may be one of the main reasons so many like them OR simply that the Chinese have such a large population, even if a small portion likes the series, that's still a great many folks tuning in. LOL!
Sorry! I'm rambling now. I said all of this to say, "interesting synopsis!" Keep posting your thoughts and opinions!
I'm actually liking the cuteness of this series. I just hope that the rest of the episodes don't have Ko Neung constantly acting like a sixth grader. That's starting to become less cute and more annoying.
I'm really not sure what to make of this series??? It is sort of funny. I guess. But, I just don't know what to make of it??? So I will keep my comments to myself. LMFAO!
don't worry there are more rape scenes in the next episodes
Thanks for the heads up. Then I think I will pass on the rest of the eps. I know many posters don't or won't have a problem with the rape crap, mainly because "it's just a tv series." But making light of sexual assault is not my cup of tea.
I was really liking this series until they just had to throw in the rape scene! That killed it for me. In this day and age, sexual assault in Chinese BLs is STILL treated as if it were nothing! So sad! But I'm still going to watch it -- I want to see if that scene is ever reconciled.
Thai BLs are slowly fading in the sea of Chinese and Japanese BLs that are better. They are too repetitive, immature…
No, I don't think so. I agree with you. This latest batch of BLs are immature, continue to play on outdated tropes and stereotypes and use sex as the main plot. But sex sells, and many will watch just for that -- who cares if there really isn't a story. LOL! Well, I care.
I think I will pass on this one. I've seen enough mindless dribble BLs for this year. But you try to enjoy it.
This series is nothing more than a bunch of sex/NC scenes thrown together to make us think that there's a plot somewhere in there! LMFAO! If this series weren't so trashy and awful, with every stereotype and trope imaginable, I wouldn't keep coming back to watch it. LOL! Sometimes we simply enjoy some mindless dribble, even in an awful BL! LMFAO!
I was excited for this considering boss neoul is one of my fav cp. I loved them in boy next world and LITA. But…
I'm right there with you. Noeul is getting so much better as an actor, that constantly being type-cast in these "idiotic bottom-boy uni" roles is beneath his talent, IMO.
This series is nothing more than mindless, relaxing fluff (basically just something to watch). I won't criticize too much. Yes, it's riddled with tropes and stereotypes. Yes, the plot is non-existent. Yes, it's just fluff. Yes, it's got gratuitous sex scenes (to keep us watching). But it's the only thing airing on Tuesdays. So, what the f*ck! Just enjoy the fluff.
This is an enjoyable JBL. I just wish they hadn't gotten right into the top/bottom stuff, yet again. It would've been more enjoyable for them to explore that issue just like the rest of their competitive lives. Instead, they took the easy way out: winner = top, loser = bottom. LMFAO!
There's NOT much plot or character development going on here. But there are cute guys who are having a LOT of gratuitous and graphic sex! If that is why you watch, then that ok too! LFMAO!
