Yep. He wants to get revenge on FL's family because her grandfather did something bad to his family when he was young. And he doesn't want to get married until he's found the one. Getting a girlfriend would make him marry her, while getting a boyfriend would not.

I personally more so think that she has an ulterior motive. I've interpreted all of her scenes with the FL's brother as her trying to get his attention to get something else. We also know that she needs money and the brother is absolutely loaded.
