this is one of those dramas you really need to listen to the comment section. I can only agree that the first half is cute but the second half is just draggy.
I think the reason its having drops in views is because they are not used to Hollywood like shows. Like koreans…
honestly, the parallel universe (& Lee Min Ho) is the only thing that I actually like about this drama. I really think in every other aspect this drama is boring af. I had a hard time convincing myself during the third episode that it is too early to drop. But honestly I really cannot blame anyone who did give up on this drama. Somehow the famous director and writer just could not make it work this time & in my opinion this has nothing to do with it being scifi+romance themed(+confusing in the beginning). I mean W and Faith both dramas were pretty popular.
I'm kind of new to BL.Would you recommend me this drama as a first of this genre or rather another one ?
thank you for all the replies and suggestions - they all have been very helpful I decided to go with HIStory2: Boundary Crossing (then Love by chance, then SOTUS and UWMA)
I think if I start with uwms the expectation for everything else might be too high, also slow dramas are not always good with me so this might go either way, also you all are right it is better to start with a finished drama. I think this might be too emotional and intense for the first. But the rating is just too high to not give it a try later on. History2 seems the most similar to the girl/boy romance. Do not ask me why or what I mean by that. it just felt like this from the trailer. It seems to be about sports, which I usually like so plot wise I am on the save side here. Also the actors look handsome (sorry for being a bit shallow).Oh and also the rating is quite high
WHAT MY FAV COUPLE BROKE UP? maaaan just like that they just casually mention that they broke up and don't give us a reason whatsoever. I saw in the comment section that the actor could not be in this season but the writers still could have given me more than just one line. The break up just feels too abrupt.
this is ridiculous compared to the anime. this movie was just shallow and you really don't see a real romantic connections between them. This movie make is seem like she just confesses to everyone till someone liked her. Also they really skipped too much in the very beginning not including that they hated each other then actually were helping each other finding a SO, helping each other getting over them, building each other up, slowly becoming friends and then both having trouble admitting to themself that they developed feelings for each other. And that they had to face their own insecurities first. That was the beauty of the plot wich the movie just skipped. wow what a disappointment
i watched the anime quite a long time ago and do not even know whether I read the manga but I think( but might be wrong) the movie included random new people and like how do they include that but not what really mattered?!
I love the actors but despite that this drama was just not worth it for me watching it. I generally do not mind thriller and actually enjoyed some action chasing scenes but the plot is just bad.
Episode 12(6) does not make sense. Why is Nara's friend suggesting that she could be the other woman. It seems…
Well, HyunAh met SungJoon first and had a crush on him. But when she started to make a move on him she realized that he just started seeing Jung Sun(Nara) and since the girls where friends HyunAh backed of even though she really liked him.
So when JungSun(Nara) told HyunAh that SungJoon (now husband) has an affair one might think JungSun(Nara) just assumes it is not HyunAh he is having an affair with. HyunAh's feelings got a bit hurt because of that since she actually used to have a crush on him and only because of JungSun(Nara) did not pursue him.
To answer your question HyunAh's pride got hurt because of the assumption it is not her he is having the affair with and therefore she said that she could have be the other woman. Basically asking why do you think it could not be me.
I actually really loved that scene. If HyunAh would have kept quite at that moment she would have continue to think that JungSun(Nara) does not consider HyunAh as equal and that he could not be attractive to her or other insecure thoughts. But she had the guts to ask instead directly. And I also really love that reply from JungSun(Nara) that she actually does not know and it totally could be that HyunAh is the other woman but she just needed to tell her friend what she is going though.
It just took guts from both sides and it might to you looked like that scene does not make sense because in reality people are not that strong and would rather avoid that kind of confrontation but that would have led to misunderstandings and eventually a falling out of friendship. And that is why that scene was special.
"it seem stupid that she's not asking her husband for the name of the woman" - at first she really didn't want to know who it is and not to think about it any longer (and to not start comparing herself to that other woman and so on). But at the end of ep 12 or the preview she is actually asking him exactly that because she can't handle it anymore to just suspect everyone.
and about the same-sex relationship I might be wrong but I think it is more like the comment section here considers that option but the drama itself did not really go there to suggest he could be bi or gay (yet - I mean it could but I also think it is possible they won't)
Hi, I am at episode 17 so far and tbh I am not impressed. Is it going to get better further along or is it just…
I also would like to know that. Infact I was really surprised to see your comment because I came here to ask the same thing. Can someone please tell me/ us when it starts to really pick up.
I think the first two episodes where just the set up for the plot to explain how and why they were frozen for 20 years. Honestly, I skipped a lot especially the second episode but I think from next week on it will get interesting.
I really liked it and would love for the story to continue. It feels like it was just the beginning and a lot more to come. But because of the lack of views I highly doubt they will get everyone on board to do another season. The investors are probably pulling out. Actors would have to take a pay cut. Less budget for CGI, staff and props. Even if it is unlikely I still selfishly hope for more seasons.
Episode 2 caught me by surprise. I definitely did not expect to care for all the characters at this point already. But I could not help but to be touched by them. I was crying my eyes out by the end of the episode.
